What can I do about this?

I need some advice. I have received several emails I DO NOT want. They involve things I'll not talk about, but I don't want them anywhere near my computer. What can I do to make them stop!!!!!! I don't want my girls to see even the titles. I have never opened them, I just delete. Is there any hope to get them to quit? I don't know these people and from what they're sending don't want to. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:( :mad:
 
sgbg you can block emails and they go directly to your deleted file. Well cutiepie tells me depends on what your email is.......do you use outlook or outlook express? We use outlook express and we can walk you through it. Other way to take care of it is to save to a file and go to your ISP's abuse page (page for reporting spam and email abuses) and send them the emails you are wanting to stop.
 
sgbg, I've had this prob;em for a while too, as stated on a previous thread. Still do but I have a "screened mail" place I send them to without opening, then delete from there.
Other of my friends both on and off the forum are having the same problem.
Some have advised me to change my email addie, but I choose not to.
I just never open emails from an unknown source---just send them to my screener.

UMMM--DE 2 don't know what I use, haven't paid attention before. I'll look and get back to you. May have to go to what you all use. I want them gone and not worry the girls will see or read something they don't need to.
 
i dont know what your receiving but i get tons of advertisemnts and free porn access, it is so annoying that i block them but yet there is more and more than come each day:mad:
 
The free porn access is what I want to get rid of. Don't know how I even got on their lists! I cringe every time I check email now. Delete everytime I see a new one has arrived.

That's exactly what I'm getting, and as many as 20 a day.

sgbg......cutiepie uses a program called mail washer. You can see what is in your email box before it is downloaded and delete it there or bounce it back to sender if you want. She loves it. Also catches a few emails with virus potential. It's free from download.com. Do a search for "mail washer". Gives a discription of what it does so you can decide if it's for you.:)
 
it is the best program...............you can check out your emails before you download them...........see who is emailing you, and blacklist them...........bounce them..........delete...it is great........
I recommend it highly as my hubby told you...................:)
