Threat of rain, Biffle P1 with the points leader on the outside. Biffle takes him out on the first corner, hands the points leads back to Kenseth and Edwards drive through the whole mess for the win without ever leading a green flag lap.

Fans rejoice.

You know, kind of like Pocono ;) and not like Martinsville.

Somehow I don't think that 'fans rejoice' thing would play out like you think. ;) I'm just saying.

I think it would be more like 'disgruntled fans react'.
 
I don't know about scenerios like that , but I do think that this race is real important to those 5th to 10th place drivers . If one or two of them have a bad race , it will move them back closer to Kahne and Gordon .
 
I'd like to see Jeff get two in a row and I don't care how. Jimmie can mow em' down in turn 1, it can rain, he can dominate the whole race, I'm not picky:)

I am with you, rain, Jimmie mow them down, phantom caution, the rest of the field wrecks at the exact same time...don't matter to me either! lol
 
Gordon punts 3 different ringers, body slams Montoya and Ambrose and cruises to a victory. (My wife made me say this). ;)

I don't know if any one person can prevent that but we all make our own choice to get involved in any such contest as no one forces us to act in any one manner.
 
People act like running the boot would be so awesome. After a few laps the novelty would wear off. And extending the course means fewer laps of action for the fans that paid to be there.

You forgot to add that you were only speaking for yourself. More passing opportunities are a good thing as far as I'm concerned. I watched a race about a month ago broadcast from The Glen and that section looked awesome, especially with the elevation changes. Laps can be adjusted. Then again, I'm only speaking for myself. :D

Yeah, I'm just tired of it. This used to be a place where we would disagree, but we'd air our debates in a civilized fashion. That just doesn't happen anymore. For the most part, most of us can disagree and even poke some fun at one another (and everyone knows we're all kidding around) but then there's the Keyboard Warrior Klan that feels the need to expose themselves on here and spend days trashing other members.

Andy, the best advice I can offer you is to either indulge those who you feel are antagonists or don't and leave them without any ammunition.

Personal attacks are acceptable in The Podium. Unfortunately, I think some people think what is acceptable decorum in there is acceptable in other parts of the forum where most of the readers just don't care to see another whizzing competition.

So I can't make a comment about something unless it's already been mentioned in this particular thread? People have been discussing the boot on various sites for over a decade.:)

DPK brought the boot up in the NNW thread, you chose to come into this thread and attack his opinion. Now your playing the victim when you get called on it - yet again. Get some new bait as that same old is getting stale.

No. You are wrong and just trying to justify your boorish and typically derisive behavior. I understand that you may still in the midst of a Matt Kenseth pity party due to his results over the past couple of weeks but trying to go after me is just not going to pull you from your depression. Maybe log off for a few days and play outside or something. I'm sure you could use the fresh air and exercise.:)

I've never used the ignore feature before but started today after seeing that whining earlier.Ask a couple questions then people crying saying they were attacked because they didn't like my questions was enough for me.
 
Hey, I have been on good behavior lately. I can't help that my comment regarding the boot was misconstrued by someone looking to start something. The main reason I brought it up is because I was reminded of it when one of those Lewis Hamilton/Tony Stewart commercials was broadcast the other day. They ran the boot during their car swap and Tony mentioned that he'd like to run it. At first I really liked the idea but upon further reflection I realized that for me, the novelty would likely wear off rather quickly. But I saw somewhere that it's on NASCAR's "radar" so we shall see.
 
I would like to see the boot ran by cup at least once in my lifetime. My opinion, jump on it, stomp on it, tear it to shreds, who gives a sheet, its my opinion. :cool:
 
I'd like to see them run it for personal reasons as well. I'd love to get a spot along the fence with my RV. There's not enough of them now and they are the prime spots.
