What teams are most worried about.

I'll be more than happy to be the minority on this one. I have no problem with plate racing. It's some of the most exciting racing that there is IMO. I've been around to see the races before plates were the norm and I can tell you right now, most everyone on here would have been complaining about the racing back then. Heck, people get upset now when they get strung out on much smaller tracks.

I remember those races too, watched them on Wide World of Sports when I was a kid back in the 60s and 70s. The cars did get strung out, but you usually had the top 6 or 7 cars running together. Of course it was nothing like what we have today, but I think back then the fastest car won the majority of the races. Plate racing is exciting when they are actually racing, it's when rule changes take away the quality of racing, then I have a problem. I enjoyed the shootout, it was exciting, but the more I watched practice this week the more I realized that more problems were created than solved IMO. I just think with all the time spent in the R&D center, time spent actually testing at Plate tracks, that Nascar should have been able to come up with a solution. Tandem racing wasn't it, the fans voiced their dislike about that, yet Nascar can't figure it out.

yea,how exciteing it'd be too see em strung out............duh........

Plate races are better than some mile and a halfs. Maybe nascar will find a way to make the first 450 miles more exciting, but I'm not holding my breath.

I can't see how you could make a 500mile race exciting every lap ,unless it is on a plate track . They used to run 500 miles at Dover , but it was painfully boring in the middle .

I think every race over 200 miles is boring in the middle, there is always that point where everyone settles down and evaluates their equipment until it is go time.

All of what you guys are saying is true, but a guy can wish. Of course every lap of every race can't be real exciting, but times have changed. You don't even get the slight thrill of guys dealing with lappers. Very often it's a parade, and I don't like parades. This happens on some 1.5 mile tracks, but we're talking about plate races right now.

So basically it's a complicated deal. I think just blindly blaming NASCAR is pretty weak and lazy.

What are teams most worried about?

If y'all watched the Truck Race there is no need for the question.

Even Captain Obvious has left the building! :D
