Simple question. What was your favorite moment and why?

Mine was Dale Earnhardt Jr's win at Martinsville. Never seen the fans as happy as they were and, in Victory Lane, you could tell Jr wanted that grandfather clock. He was jumping up and down, hugging his crew members... genuine emotion. And his postrace press conference - it was probably the first press conference of any kind I've ever sat through and didn't want to end. He went on for a half hour talking about what the win meant to him, talking about going to Martinsville with Big E as a kid, short track racing, drinking beer and anything else that came up.

Also loved seeing Kevin Harvick finally win a NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship. AJ Allmendinger's win at Watkins Glen and Tony Stewart's return to racing also made me happy.

I'd have to agree. Junior's win at Martinsville.. but all four wins were up there for me. :)

Jr. @ Martinsville was by far my favorite moment of 2014.

I was standing on the pit wall on the frontstretch and I literally could not hear the cars over the fans. Always a good day for the sport when the fans are that excited. :)

Kyles win at Fontana of course

Kyle18fan....Did I mention that I was there for that most awesome victory? By a ton, the most awesome moment of the year.....tied for the second greatest moment of my life with the '13 Fontana win behind the birth of my son and marriage to my wife which are tied for the greatest moments of my life because if I don't say that, I will experience the worst moments of my life. Kyle Freakin' Busch baby.

I had no idea you were at that race, why havent you ever mentioned it :D

Definitely Kurt winning was my favorite moment, him beating Jimmie was great.

The race for the chase has my stomach in knots.

1. Seeing Harvick demonstrate he could win the title.
2. Seeing Newman put together a solid season. I doubt many would have rated him as one of the best 15 drivers prior to the season.
3. Brads elimination at Phoenix.
4. Samantha standing during the National Anthems.
5. Dinger Watkins Glenn.

I think did I recall you asking if I been to ay races out by you I said no but go to the races here at Fontana haven't missed one yet here......I go all three days.....well 4 counting the Hauler Parade.....I live 42 miles from the track...west off..

My seats were about right there too... I wasn't real excited about those burnouts though..
Lots of smoke that's or sure........I always sit around sec 47-51......Maybe we can meet up at the next race and say hello...

Perhaps! I know there will be a few forum members there.

A.J.'s first Cup win at Wakins Glenn. Ambrose, A.J with Kurt lurking in third to pick up the pieces if there were any put on the best fender, body slamming race of the season.

I gotta go with Dinger's win at WG. That was a difficult weekend, AJ's win was a nice feel good story that took away some from the negativity.

Cup: Dale Jr's Martinsville win. I'm not a Junior fan, but to see how much that win meant to him made it very fun. Allmendinger's win was a close second.

Some non-Cup ones: Mike Conway winning Long Beach in IndyCar, Kyle Larson trying to tear down Eldora's wall, Daniel Ricciardo's first career win at Montreal, every bizarre twist and turn of this year's Bathurst 1000.

I'd have to say Dale's win at Martinsville. To see the joy at finally getting one of those clocks was so much fun.
I was at his 2nd Martinsville race when he hit everything but the pace car and the concession stand in the infield. To
see him literally bouncing with joy made me smile.

Such a great day. Love that track, and the atmosphere. I remember the first race I went to in Fontana six years ago. My wife went semi-reluctantly. Immediately after the race, she said, "Unless you die or by choice, you will never miss this race ever!" She was sold. SoCal in March after a winter of the Pacific Northwest BS weather.....Doesn't get any better for me!

Although this wasn't necessarily my favorite moment, I will say that I could be one of the most significant. Junior won Martinsville right after he was knocked out of the Chase. The sport's most popular driver showed that winning is everything by his reaction to doing so even after the big prize was no longer possible. Freakin' huge props to Junior. Huge. Represented the sport very well on that day.

The short track connection made it worth it to me. Jr cares about the sport, the entire sport.

I think that Jr.'s name and the popularity that goes with it forced him into a life where he had to care about it. I believe that what we are seeing as of late in particular a very mature acceptance and respect for that role. More has been asked of him than anybody else, and I think he understands now that this is a good thing because he is capable of fulfilling this responsibility. A huge part of taking care of this sport is respecting and relishing in the glory of each win. He did that on that day, and as pissed as I was one of my Toyotas didn't win, I enjoyed his happiness. Jr. is a good dude IMO.
