What would your ideal NASCAR track be like?

Surface
Asphalt/Concrete
Length
22.8 km (14.2 mi)
Turns
160

While it is not realistic I would like an occasional event at the famous or imfamous Nürburgring. Maybe once every four years, as endurance event for a minimum of 8 hours up to a 12 hour max all in the daytime hours.

It wouldnt be worth the logistiscs or cost every year. maybe as a one off non points event that included the Aussie/V8 cars . They could be scored as seperate classes, or maybe teams could be formed to run a cup car then a V8 car car for six hours each to be scored as a single entry.

The real incentive is the Eastern Euro grid girls. Their cloths fit like a glove, theres nothing like them, really the greatest spectacle in the world.

Just did a google search for "grid girls" and wow. What can I say?

I'd love to see the Cup guys race Bathurst.

First off, hello everyone! :D Add me to the long list of Jeff Gordon fans on here!

Anyway, I thought I would have my first post on here be an interesting thread (I'm too boring in person to be boring online as well). If you were to design and build your own race track, what would it be like? Would it be a 1.5 mile cookie cutter with no banking? Or perhaps a half-mile figure 8 dirt track? (Keep in mind this would be for NASCAR's 3 main series.)

My dream NASCAR track:

My ideal track would be a little over a mile in length. The track would be sort of like Darlington in shape, but a little more drastic. The larger turns would have 18-22 degree progressive banking for more passing in the higher grooves, and the smaller turns would have even 20 degree banking for short-track bump-and-run type racing. My ideal locations for the track would be somewhere close to either New Orleans, Denver, or Seattle.

My idea track would look like this:

Mine is already built but good luck talking NASCAR into going there. Salem Speedway

It's a shame what happened to North Wilkesboro. We need more short tracks like that in the schedule.

Y'all have some good ideas on here. I just watched a video of a race at Bathurst, and that looks like an exciting course! Not sure a race at the German course would very good, however. The cars there would be VERY spread out after a few laps.

Actually , we only complain about them not being spread out at the super speedways , we complain about them being too spead out at mile and 1/2 and under. It's just something we do.

Funny that there aren't as many complaints about the racing on the one type of track nascar, in a glowing display of their lack of wisdom, turned it's back on. Shorter tracks under a mile and a half.

I have watched a few V8 Supercar Races from that venue. It is awesome!

Those cars would trounce CUP cars on that track!!
But it sure would be fun to watch them race each other, wouldn't it?
(...at least for a little while...)
