Or, Nascar is a genius. They know that if they bring up controversy people will be talking and tuning in. Do anything, say anything to make news. Looks like its working.

I am sorry, but I have to say" fair is fair"..
NAS_AR can kiss my grAss if they allow those two teams to continue without any penalty. I am sorry for Mark, but cheating is cheating. NAS_AR ruined Carl Longs livelihood over zero tolerance. I say dock them points, suspend the crew chiefs, fine the hell out of them. Do it NAS_AR!!!

I don't think it's a "big fix", but I do think they have looked the other way a few times.

Muggle Not is the only true NA_CAR Fan.
I look at it this way ----everyone I've listened to today have insisted that the cars were legal. They were just too close to the tolerance for NASCAR's comfort.
If you don't like the way NASCAR runs their show, find another one.
Personally, I'll accept NASCAR's explanation and move on with my life.

Agreed. This would/should have been a non-story had it not first been reported by Lee Spencer @ FOX Sports that Johnson's car was outside the tolerance set by NASCAR. If your going to report it, get it right! Both cars were legal. End of story.
