I look at it this way ----everyone I've listened to today have insisted that the cars were legal. They were just too close to the tolerance for NASCAR's comfort.
If you don't like the way NASCAR runs their show, find another one.
Personally, I'll accept NASCAR's explanation and move on with my life.
Agreed. This would/should have been a non-story had it not first been reported by Lee Spencer @ FOX Sports that Johnson's car was outside the tolerance set by NASCAR. If your going to report it, get it right! Both cars were legal. End of story.
