Jimmie wining #7?

Kyle, back to back?

Carl finally getting beyond the tie with Smoke?

Logano wearing his black hat taking his first Championship?

As much as I don't want to see Jimmie or Kyle win..... I think the biggest storyline would be Jimmie's 7th, followed by Kyle's back to back, Joe's first & then Carl's first.

In spite of it likely being the worst storyline for many, I'm going with KB back to back.

Jimmie's 7th will make the biggest storyline because then we'd have some mention of his quest to be the first 8 time champion during every race from the 2017 Daytona 500 until the day he retires or wins number 8.

Tell me again why Joey's hat is black? I don't get that part.

JJ getting #7 is the biggest storyline. And I'd hope for (but would not really expect) him to announce that 2017 will be his one attempt at #8 before stepping down.

:lol2:

Story line would be JJ and #7.
Satisfaction for me would be for Joey to win after last year with Kenseth.
Of course Kenseth may do his best to make sure Joey doesn't win short of taking him out on purpose. The #2 car will still be running and just might do some extra hard racing himself.

Same here.. Although I dont see the 20 doing anything drastic to prevent Joey from winning.. Might make it hard on him with the intention of helping his team mates but not just so Joey doesnt win.

I am good with any of the four winning the championship and they all would be a good story.

Probably would prefer to see Johnson get a 7th championship. I wouldn't rate him as the GOAT but one of them. And I dont think he gets as much credit as he deserves, and I think his accomplishments tend to get discounted. He is a great driver and about as classy as one can be, imo.

Kyle Busch wouldn't be my favorite but still a great driver and worthy.

Logano definitely a worthy excellent driver, aside from hearing the masters of karma yap on and on, it would be great.

Edwards is probably the biggest underdog and the biggest suprise finalist imo. I believe all of the other JGR cars were faster in the 2nd half of the season.
But I like him, and he accepted the tie and tiebreaker with a lot of class in 2011. I remember a lot of people snarking him afterwards, I think he deserved better.
And a lot of time has passed since the Edwards/Kesolowski fued too.

Attend a race and listen to driver intros. It wouldn't take long to figure out which of those four incite the loudest negative response.
Ah, a black hat like Jeff Gordon wore in the 1990's. Every time I've asked people "Why the Logano hate?" most people can't answer except to say *everyone* hates Logano, as if that is an answer. Or they say something childish about how he looks or something. I guess Joey's hat is black because everyone says it is black... OK.

'Everyone' is your quote and not mine. No need to think that I'm one of the haters. Joey doesn't bother me a bit. If you are trying to ask me why people hate him I don't have an answer for you. I was simply pointing out the fact that the overwhelming majority of fans dislike JL for whatever reason & it's extremely evident in driver intro's.

Jimmie goin for #7 is the biggest and I hope to see it happen to be honest. I agree with Greg when he said that it feels like alot if what Jimmie had accomplished in this sport has gone under appreciated. He's one of the best drivers of all time and Jimmie and Chad are THE best driver -crew chief paring ever.
As a life long Earnhardt supporter (firstly Sr. And now Jr.) I'd gladly welcome a 3rd member to the 7 time club.

I'm okay with any of the 3 that won a race in the last segment....

Jimmie has shown he still has the magic.

Joey deserves one after Matt the Brat last year....

Carl deserves one for that tie in 2011....

Kyle..... he's no doubt a great wheel man but I still can't warm up to him ..... he just rubs me the wrong way....... seems phoney as hell because of his childish attitude when he doesn't win.... he's gotten somewhat better... but still has a ways to go....... maybe someday........

I don't like a gracious loser, if you lose you should be pissed. You don't have to be ignorant though.

JJ getting #7 would be really big.

Edwards FINALLY breaking through would be big.

JoLo breaking through would be big.

Busch going back to back would be big too but **** that guy.

This shouldn't even be a question. Many drivers have won their first championship and back-to-back championships has occurred multiple times. Only 2 times in the history of the sport has anyone ever won their 7th championship. If Johnson pulls it off this week, he easily solidifies himself within the top-5 greatest drivers of all time even if he were to retire after this race. I am not a Johnson fan at all (in more ways than one ;)), but what he has accomplished throughout all the championship formats has been incredible.

Yes he has but what I will always wonder is had they not changed racing to "the Chase"
would he still be a 6 Time.

I like Logano.. so theyre wrong! Hehehe :lol2:

Can we go back to the days everyone told me I was nuts for saying Joey would be as good as he is right now? I'd like to see some ppls reactions tot he things they said and watch them back peddle... I know I know I'm obnoxious... that's alright tho lol because I was right. :)

..but they did.. and he did.. just thought I'd clear that up for ya ;) lol

Don't matter what ifs and who shoulda coulda woulda done what and how what woulda been where and whether pigs can fly... he beat everyone in the years he won those championships.

I hope all 4 cars wreck out in the first lap just to show how embarrassing this format really is.

A final race with the 4 drivers finishing 37-38-39-40 would be by far the most entertaining storyline possible.
Well in that case it really would be a lot more of a team win lol first car fixed gets the championship!

It would still be the best scenario I could imagine..... every single one of 'em in the garage when the race finished and Brian crowing and beating his chest about how ''exciting'' this manufactured Championship was... this is total Bull @@it........

Kyle winning after missing 11 races due to vacation. Wait, that was last year.

Naw, your a big JL fan as I am a big MK fan, it's all good. :D

You guys keep this classy exchange up, The Muppet Show isn't going to have anything to rant about. Nice work. Best of luck to ya Sliced! You know I respect your support of the 22. Pulling hard for my Toyotas--especially Kyle. Gonna be fun. Sorry for the highjack.
