Who is he and how did he get a Cup ride? I've never heard of the guy and wondered where he came from.

He's just another one of those scrub teams that only showed up for the easy last place purse. Ranks right up there with Neme-wreck and his stupid so called "upstart" team. Yeah right, like Joe will be racing for a championship a couple years from now. He too is just eking out the last years of his career for some fast bucks with a bargain bin race car.

I thought the same thing. But he was on the lead lap most of the race until he got caught up in Kahne's wreck.

Richardson got a ride with Front row motorsports the same team that John Andretti races with and Kevin Conway (who)? Both Conway and Richardson are ride buyers. The team is a complete cluste **** as starting next week their drivers will be David Gilliland, Kevin Conway, and Travis Kvapil. All 3 cars are guaranteed to start the first 5 races because Andretti finished 35th last year in the #34 and the #37, and #38 both made a deal with Yates/Petty to buy the points from the #96 and #44 from last year.

Good on them I say

More field fillers.....greeeaaaat. (twirling a single finger in the air in celebration) Yeah, there's a bunch of legitimate contenders. I hate the top 35 rule...should be more like 25 and get rid of these wannabees.

Get rid of the wannabees?Isn't that how everyone started? What kind of fan are you?I remember when Dale Sr. first started as a wannabe.

Oh no...I hear ya! That's how Gibbs, Hendrick, Childress, etc all started at some point. But can you honestly say that drivers like Nemechek are really doing this start and park crap so they will be full-time contenders in the future? He's scamming an easy paycheck...his glory days are long gone. And you gotta know that scrubs like Gilligan and his fluke Busch win, and any of those other back of the pack types are never going to be a champion in Cup. But as long as they run a full race, like the Wood Bros do, then hey good on 'em....at least they're racing.

What stands between the start and park guys and a top ten ride.?One good sponsor. Enter a fast food company looking to sponsor a car or a restaurant like say Hooters and put it together with a single car, owner driver like say Alan Kulwicki and whoops..can you say championship! In any case having a team up and running makes it a quick entry for a good sponsor,or an unhappy one who wants a change.Stuff happens..I wish the networks would tell more of these stories instead of the same old same old. These guys are the heart of racing not Hendrick and Roush.

Oh I hate the mega teams that are crushing the little guys! But I don't care for the scrubs that hang on and will never have the talent, even with the sponsorship, to win a championship.
