Since they've never been there before Nationwide gets 8.5 hours of practice Thursday (5.5) and Friday (3). Get all of the NNS practice in on Thursday and then practice/qualify Cup on Friday.jayski says dillon will get special thurs. nns practice at mid ohio..............since nns never been there. ......an he'll be in michigan friday--cup.

dang he gets the rear both races. It is getting more clear to me anyway, that he is going to be in cup next year to be throwing away the lead like that. He can't road race worth a darn in the first place, and starting in the back? forget about it.Just read that Austin will miss NNS qualifying Saturday morning for a Cup practice so he'll start from the rear of the field at Mid-Ohio. Big opportunity for the other drivers in the championship battle.
I'm guessing he gets out of there retaining his lead.
Ambrose and Dinger the ringers, Fellows, but he won't be up front probably. Piquet if he pulls his head out of it could do really well. They will give Sam and Smith a good run I bet.Ambrose is on the entry list. he has to qualify on time. hmm
Do you think that any driver in N'wide that was offered the 14 to run in cup would turn it down? It isn't a joke, it is a step up the ladder for some and a step down for others. If they have a brain in their head, N'wide is better than anything out there, but cup. You are in line for a cup ride for the most part.
yes I get that but being a champion of the series should mean something and it doesnt.
Same deal with Ambrose. He's practicing Cup Saturday morning so Ryan Truex will practice and qualify the Nationwide car for him.Ambrose is on the entry list. he has to qualify on time. hmm
Not sure why you would think that. At both the road courses this year he finished well. 10th at Elkhart, 12the at the Glen.I think his small lead was going to disappear at mid ohio regardless.

It only means something if it gets you a cup ride , and there are no guarantees that it will. An opportunity like this is a bigger deal because it is a cup ride. Do well and it removes all doubt.
http://msn.foxsports.com/nascar/sto...s-racing-michael-waltrip-racing-081713#!hKC0lA deal is in the works that would offer Brian Vickers more seat time in the No. 55 Aaron's Toyota — and allow Mark Martin to pursue the opportunity to drive the No. 14 for the injured Tony Stewart.
On Saturday, multiple sources told Fox Sports that Toyota offered Martin its blessing in order to enable Vickers — who was named the full-time driver of the No. 55 Michael Waltrip Racing Camry on Tuesday — additional races to gel with the team. Vickers is currently racing for the Nationwide Series championship with Joe Gibbs Racing. He is fifth in the NNS point standings.
He made one big mistake. He beat himself. He lost his temper and after he was dumped coming up thru the field..again. He had to do it twice. He tried to boot Klingerman late in the race and he spun out doing it. But today he is in a Stewart car. I bet he has learned quite a bit about how a different team goes about preparing a race car in cup. valuable info.I didn't like it myself but he would have had a top 10 finish if he stayed out of wrecks.
I honestly think it was stupid to take the NNS points leader, take his practice and qualifying away and send him to a track to defend his lead with absolutely no prior driving experience on the track. I'm not sure that was the reason he finished 21st... but I just dont see the logic behind that. Other than ppl just not caring, but I'll bet his CC and team in Ohio weren't too happy about it.
Richard probably paid for that ride. Only remotely way I can see that deal coming together, considering it was a bad idea for all parties involved. It's about the big picture . He's auditioning for a cup ride in front of the big cup sponsors . He's showing them that he's not just a Childress grandson , but he can race with the cup guys . Mission accomplished.
