I swear if they just ride around until the final lap before 2nd place attempts a half assed zig zag, I’m done with this sport forever. I don’t want a demolition derby, but if someone attempts a second line, half of the ******** field better go with him.

It’s interesting hearing Kligerman talk about how the reason they’re riding the wall is for defense. It helps protect that right rear
 
I like to make a wager or join a pool. I got tired of fantasy stuff but it was interesting radio today, I was on my way to my local casino to make my first ever legal bets on Daytona. On Sirius 90 all they were talking about was the gambling aspect of this race. Understandable, this is the first year there is going to be nationwide availability to throw a few clams down on your driver. There were a few horse races to play and I had a basketball bet too but I figured I'd spread fifty bucks over four cars and see what happens. Broke it down like this, 20 on Logano, 10 each on Elliott, Almirola, and Menard. Then I texted one of my racing buddies and he wanted Larson so I got on him too. I couldn't have my friend cashing and me not be on it so I have a whopping sixty bucks over five drivers.

Not going to do this every week by any means, but gambling is changing the way radio talks about it and probably also how the shops keep an eye on things. Good thing I guess is any hit will turn a profit and if nothing comes home it's not the end of the world. I watched it for years without a penny riding on it. If it brings in a few more eyeballs due to greed, why the heck not.

IMO I think the winner is coming from who had the better pit strategy.
Its going to come from the team that decided to pit off sequence or took 2 tires.

Places can be made up easier in the pits easier than on the track with this package.

So it will be a battle of pit crews and crew chief decisions.
 
Conditions are favorable for MY TRD powered Toyota Camrys. WE are the underdogs. Time for an upset.

I think Lagano is currently best on RP tracks.
