Whos your longshot to make the chase?

My longshot for the chase is Kurt Busch. Dug a hole last week, lost 5 positions that will be hard to make up and without a win, he doesn't have that going for him either for a wild card. I think his team and him think a chase spot is possible and I do too. But it isn't going to be easy, I don't consider Kurt to be a smart racer, if he was, he wouldn't have put himself in a place to get booted so easily, he does that all the time though, takes unnecessary risks. But what I like is that he goes for it every race, doesn't ride around very much.

I agree . Folks do not seem to equate the money and the speed . The one hundreth of a second in a qualifying lap that is the difference between first and fifteenth . That fraction of a second might have cost $50m or $100m .People say winning at a superspeedway is mostly luck , except that Jimmie Johnson does it more often than anybody else . It maybe luck , but it is bought and paid for .

Which folks are those??? Seems to me everyone understands top tier teams typically have the most money and the most speed.

Anything can happen at Daytona/Dega. I mean FRM went 1-2 at Dega.

Gordon is a long shot to make the chase only been 2 points out of 10th place? I dont think longshot means what you think it means.

LOL While I agree... in comparison to his season and that of those sitting around him in points. It does seem like somewhat of a long shot. Although I must admit he's been picking it up lately. However I do not think he will make the chase.

Predicting stuff like this is so difficult. Racing has a way of producing results that are in no way indicative performance. (HMS at MIS comes to mind).

My prediction is that everyone in the top ten will remain in the top ten, except for Keselowski. He's not making the chase this year. That leaves three people, which I believe will be Martin Truex, J Gordon and Kurt Busch. Tony has a win, but that's not going to help him. While I'd love to see McMurray sneak his way in, I don't think that will happen.
