Why do you root for your favorite?

:) Tony Stewart is my favorite, I've been watching him since his Rookie season. I've been a race fan for almost 50 yrs, I lived in the mountains of Colorado for a while, and didn't get race coverage so lost touch. 1999 I open my in town shop, got cable and started watching weekly again and Tony really got my attention. He really reminds me of drivers of old and I just really like him. Although next year I'll be pulling for Greg Biffle too. I've been a fan of his since 1999 to and I'm certainly not going to stop now.
Actually, out of 43 regular drivers there are probably a 1/2 dozen I don't like, anther 1/2 dozen I don't pay any mind to(except when they wreck my driver;) ) The rest I like, and will cheer them on if they're having a good run.
 
Was looking for a Ford driver to replace Pearson after he left the Woods Brothers. Saw this geeky red haired guy from Dawsonville show up from time to time. Looked like a promising young candidate to root for, and he drove a Ford.
 
Why do I root for my drivers? Really can't put it into words.

I picked DE from the beginning --- there was just "something" about that tall, skinny, wild-haired, wild-driving man that tickled my fancy. LOL Stuck with him through thick and thin.

I root for Junior, plus a host of others. I'm an "equal opportunity" fan. LOL Again, it's something I can't put into words, just a feeling.

There aren't any I dislike, I just don't cheer as loudly for them. hehehe
