Why is it

I find TV is not much fun to watch those days.... expect for the sports games.. like football baseball and nascar.

Same here. I've got some saved on the DVR though.

Felt that way over Thanksgiving all my channels plus every movie channel for free that weekend and couldn't find anything to watch.

Been watching a lot of MeTV and WeTV, they both air TV shows from the 50's thru the 80's. Some good stuff, life was a lot different back then. Along with Walking Dead re runs.:)

my daughter and I have been watching "The 100" kind if interesting...I like the space-apocalyptic stuff and she likes the teen drama

A few shows on now that I enjoy are The Mysteries of Laura as it makes me laugh and The Good Wife as I like the twists and turns of the courtroom drama. Madam Secretary is OK and Masterpiece Mystery and Masterpiece Theater are my faves. I have DVD's of older shows like Mannix, Cannon, The Streets of San Francisco, Hawaii 5-0 and Police Story which I really, really like.

with 150+ channels I can't find a blasted thing to watch?
I have thought the same thing umpteen times....

I've seen a few of those. It must conflict with some others shows because I havent' been able to catch it weekly. I hope they will have re-runs so I have something interesting to watch this winter.

Now that's a show I can watch re-runs of re-runs and never get tired of it. I wonder why that is?
I love METV and also Antenna tv.. or whatever it's called. They both show really old shows, some as far back as the 50s.

I might have that somewhere out in la la land. I watch all HD so a lot of the channels I don't realize are in my line up.

Yeah.. these are both HD. I don't think I watch anything else either.

Ok. I was thinking they wouldn't be HD seeing they show the oldies. I will have to check what I have.

I think they are.. because they're in the middle of the HD line up on Comcast... they're like channels 201 and 204.. and I think all our 200 channels are HD.

hmmm I don't know if mine works like that or not. I know I have some SD channels.

I don't really know either. LOL.. my eyes are getting so bad, I can't always tell what's HD and what's not. I know the old shows really can't be broadcast HD because they weren't filmed that way... but I thought all the HD shows were those in the 200s. But I'm not a huge TV watcher so I don't know. :idunno:

LOL Lin. I can tell in a millisecond.

I never can... it's always funny... because my husband and sons say it makes such a difference and I really can't tell. I guess if I paid more attention I would.

LOL.. they're not HD. Chris just got home and showed me how I can tell. It says "HD" in the listing. So anyway, on Comcast/Xfinity.. they are located near where all our HD channels are... but they aren't HD. Shows how much I know.

We have that here in S. Cal. They're on sub channels like 5.2 and 5.3. I pick them up on the TV in my bedroom with the rabbit ears :D

Amazon Prime has a lot of free programming to watch but i don't have a smart TV which I can stream with.
Instead I bought a Google chromecast dongle (about $40) which you plug into a HDMI port on your TV and set up an channel through your wi-fi.
Then using google chrome on your computer download google cast extension.
So I watch a video on Amazon Prime on my PC then I cast it to my TV and voila it magically appears on my TV.
And its just like watching TV...amazing!
Amazon Prime is $80/year which I got for free shipping of Amazon products in the US and it includes the movies and more...40,000 free titles.
Youtube also is programmed to cast to your TV as well and with Nascar streaming more races on Youtube I may soon be able to quit my $100 buck a month dish subscription.

Oh, I forgot if the Mrs want to watch a video on Amazon and I cast it to the TV I can still use the computer as the dongle takes it straight from the internet apparently? Anyhow its a very cool product in MO
