Will the possibility of RCR switching to Dodge for 2014 make it more likely for Andretti in 2014?

RCR still hasn't re-signed with Chevy. Could the rumored change to Dodge actually be in the works? I sure hope so. Haven't watched a race this year.

Word is that Dodge has given up its effort to return in 2014.

No, but thats just like Petty/Inman, Big E/Shelmerdine, Ray/Jeff...and it will that way with Chad/Jimmy too. Ray did just fine with the Dodge program. Even if it was handed to him on a silver platter after Adam Petty's accident.

How can it be fine if he is out of racing? He did nothing, he was a joke with dodge.

He is out by his own choice. Nobody forced him to sell to Gillett.

As much as I wished different, RCR will not be in Dodges next year. You will likely see Dodge in IndyCar before they return to NASCAR. I am confident Dodge will return to NASCAR someday but it won't be soon.

I think you are correct. If dodge does return to Nascar it probably won't be until 2015 or after. Why? Because it is highly speculated (probably confirmed by now) that the Challenger and Charger are getting redesigns. Also the Challenger, might be replaced with the Cuda. Of course this is what I read about 2 months ago on the internet, so it has probably changed by now. lol.

Returning to the original question, assuming Dodge re-enters NASCAR (regardless of 2014 or 15), will it result in Andretti coming over?

I'd like to see it, but I don't know why Dodge's re-entry would make a difference. If I were entering a form of motorsports I was unfamiliar with, I'd like the backing of an established manufacturer. Dodge would probably provide plenty of support, but I think the Andretti name would pull top-tier support from anyone.
