WNBA 2025

This is perplexing to hear and hard to believe. I just heard Reese stan for Cardoso in a couple of interviews, one of which was the post-game interview after they beat Minnesota. They seem to get along pretty well from the little I've seen in that regard.

I feel like I'm not getting all of the story or an accurate picture here, but I also don't feel compelled enough to dig further into it. No offense intended whatsoever - I just don't really care about what the ladies are doing on social media.
I agree about the social media stuff (with exception of Sophie Cunningham's Insta-Dayum stuff).

Sophie 🥵🔥🥵🤤🔥

I’m glad she is. She probably needs to on social media instead of interviews. The WNBA media does like to play up drama even if it means omitting things. Like how many times Caitlin has denounced racism and the media doesn’t air those clips.
I only watch the games, so I see the in-game interviews and not all the social media content and therefore appreciate it. Honestly though, sure, why not both?

Agreed on the drama being purposely amplified. Once I came to realize that that's what's happening, the lightbulb went off, and I started tuning out of it. They want me to pick a side between CC and Reese, buy that player's merch, etc. Joke's on them, because I've bought both of their merch. I...I showed them. Yessir.

Couldn't watch Fever tonight, ION was showing our local Dreamcicles.
We will take that 10pt win against Dallas though!
Sunday 3:00 EDT ABC - 15-12 Fever @ 16-11 Seattle Storm
Should be a dandy.

Connecticut beat the Stewie-less NY by 16 points last night. Marina had a double-double and nearly a triple-double - 18 points, 10 boards, and 8 assists.

LA won what looks like another thriller, this time against Seattle. Nneka Ogwumike had 37 points and 12 boards, and Rickea Jackson, Kelsey Plum, Dearica Hamby (who had 13 boards), and Azura Stevens all scored more than 20 points. That's nuts!

Fever is really playing well. Even when Mitchell has an off night offensively. Sophie and Howard step up.

Where is FL Racing. Haven't seen him on here for a while.

The mystics are positing themselves to be a great team in the future. Th e draft next year will have some very good players.

Sources: Mystics trade All-Star Brittney Sykes to Storm

Good trade for both teams IMO (I know, I almost always say that, LOL).

Sykes is a good two-way guard who should help Seattle immediately, and the draft pick will help Washington later. It'd be awesome if Alysha Clark sticks around in Washington, too, but we'll see. The move also frees up a spot for Georgia Amoore for next season, assuming that she sticks around.

Obviously, we all want Caitlin back but the team is good enough, I think, to go the distance without her. Aari and Chloe were great signings. Wouldn't hurt to deactivate her for the season. Though, if she's 100% in time for the playoffs, ruh roh.

Darn, I wish the game didn't start at 10:00 pm tonight. I may stay up until half time. I enjoy watching them so much even without Caitlin, but would really like to see her in action again. She is just so much fun to watch with her skills.

Has anything been said about the potential relocation of the Sun?

I've been keeping an eye on it - haven't really talked about it so far since I assumed no one on here cared. They started talking about selling the team earlier this season.

The Celtics' owner wants to bring them to Boston and have them play at the TD Garden, where the Celtics play. He apparently reached a deal with the Mohegan Tribe, which currently owns the Sun, the other day. However, the W says that since no one from Boston officially applied for an expansion team, the other cities with groups who officially applied get first dibs on the Sun.

I think a move to Boston would be great for them, and if they have to leave Connecticut, that's where I'd prefer to see them go. We'll see what happens.

The yellow combination of the Sparks uniforms and the floor of the Court is driving me crazy. Terrible to watch them play.

Oh my goodness...😳

Man, talk about a bittersweet trade! I'm sad to see Karlie Samuelson go before she really had a chance to do anything in Minnesota (she and poor Katie Lou are both out for the season with injuries), and Diamond had just started to come into her own over the offseason.

At the same time, I'm so hyped to see another of my top favorite ladies on my favorite team! DiJonai will obviously fight right in defensively, and she should be exactly what the doctor ordered for Minnesota offensively. Their biggest weakness is that they rely too much on jumpshots and don't score enough points in the paint - which is where DiJonai eats. Let's get it, DiJonai! 😁

PS the WNBA’s refs still suck which is why the face of the league is still injured and why the second most popular player is also injured.

I think that I would cry if this happens:

Indiana Fever Urged to Make Unfortunate Sophie Cunningham Decision

Azura Stevens is a good player, but trading Sophie is a terrible idea IMO, and I doubt Indiana would do that. There's absolutely no reason for them to panic and make a move like that just because others are making moves. They have a good team already.

I agree that trading Sophie would be a bad idea. She means so much more to Indiana than just her scoring. She puts a fire in the whole team. Her love of the game stands out like no other player.

I see Sophie as Lexie Hull with an edge, a bonafide hustler and a great teammate that anyone should want on their squad.

Indy is a new group. They have a good lineup that has finally built some chemistry. If they want to move some pieces around the edges, fine, but there's no reason to mess with the core right now IMHO.

So true and there are so many potential future photo-shoots for a pairing of the two...
