Angel Reese reposts TikTok mocking ‘white girl’ Caitlin Clark as WNBA rivalry escalates

Portnoy nailed it in his vlog yesterday.

People hate Angel Reese because, after all that taunting she did after that one game (which I still say goes beyond the realm of acceptable taunting), every time she loses to Caitlin Clark, we have to deal with this. Every time she loses, we have to deal with racism allegations. We have to hear how people chanted the n-word at her, based on rumors started by Angel Reese fans who weren't at the game on social media, even though the Chicago Sky organization says they never heard it. Every time she loses, Caitlin Clark has to come out and make some kind of statement condemning this and that based on hoaxes and rumors.

Yet there's no accountability. Nobody asks Angel Reese to call out her fans' behavior. Just like Dijonai Carrington got the pass on the race hoax she committed last Thanksgiving with that Uber driver. Which should have cast immediate doubt upon some of her allegations, but never did.

Angel Reese talks about happily being the villain and engages in her shenanigans and race baiting and is the first to play the victim card.
 
I was on TikTok and saw some of the videos Angel Reese reposted and I can't defend her anymore.

She's fanning the flames because she HATES Caitlin Clark.

I think the W has a serious problem here. WHEN this hoax investigation is finished and they find that what Angel Reese fans who weren't at the game claim happened didn't happen, Angel Reese should be held accountable for it. Sure, SHE didn't start the rumor, but she is fanning the flames, unlike Caitlin Clark.

We have petitions out there to ban Dave Portnoy from attending games because of what didn't happen on Saturday. We have reporters and players like A'ja Wilson and Dijonai Carrington constantly trying to make Caitlin Clark apologize for being white and condemn her fanbase even though Caitlin just wants to play basketball.

Angel, on the other hand, is actually fanning these flames.

If the WNBA wants to grow and be taken seriously, they need to implement a social media code of conduct for players and there need to be suspensions for violating it. The antics of Angel Reese and Dijonai Carrington will otherwise kill the league if they don't.
 
Angel is an above average player at best. Riding CC's fame wagon is her only chance to be relevant ever so that's what she's doing. Props to her or her marketing people because it is working. But I already can't stand her so it's best I not see her videos.

So here's where I'm at.

Rivalries aren't supposed to be fun.

This isn't a rivalry though, because Angel Reese is not anywhere near Caitlin Clark in terms of talent. It's also a one-sided rivalry because it's Angel who is constantly instigating it while Caitlin brushes it off.

The biggest problem though is, I think we're at the point where both these girls' physical safety is at risk because Angel Reese and Dijonai Carrington are constantly fanning flames that shouldn't be fanned.

One of the videos Angel shared, unironically, was that her life is at risk whenever she plays Caitlin Clark because Indiana Fever fans are racist, and then turns around and reposts a video saying "white girl running away from the fade," insinuating that she wanted to engage in a deliberate act of physical violence against Caitlin Clark that was outside the scope of basketball.



As for the league itself, not only will they likely not release the results of the investigation when its discovered this was a hoax, they're going to continue to condemn Caitlin Clark's fanbase, keep making vague statements, and continue to encourage Angel Reese and Dijonai Carrington's antics.



We're one week into the season and the league is embroiled in scandal ... a scandal brought on by outside agitators.

The league has got to get control of all this now. A media conduct policy is the best way to do it. And I'm arguing this for the safety of the players themselves. This is fun and games to Angel and Dijonai right now, but one thing lost in all this is where this country is at right now.

If you can win despite Clark and Mitchell combining to go 1/11 from 3, you take it. You definitely don’t want to lose to the same team twice in three days this early in the season.

They didn't because there was none.

In fact, the rumor keeps evolving. They're trying to say Dave Portnoy used the n-word and made monkey noises. Portnoy can be an ass but there's no way, none, zero, he does that.

Above average is being massively generous. Last I checked she was 0-7 from the field so far tonight. Her offensive rebounding means next to nothing if she only puts up another awful shot rather than kicking out to an open teammate. She may genuinely be the worst offensive player in the league.

Sophie Cunningham is a welcome addition to the Fever. She played a nice game tonight. Thanks to Howard for scoring points in a game when others were not hitting their shots for the most part.

The WNBA either HATES Caitlin Clark with a passion and it's wild as **** or they try way too hard to make it look like they don't favor her.
 
The refs are clearly awful but I didn't get the sense it was one-sided. The Fever had a million chances to put the game away and couldn't.

I think it’s a good no-call, but Stewart also drew a tacky foul against Minnesota to send Game 5 of the Finals to OT last year, and was ultimately why they won. All I ask for is consistency. And so far the league consistently fails to deliver that.

Agreed. Clark and Mitchell went 4/18 combined from 3, another really bad shooting night from deep. They just need to knock off the rust and get into a rhythm. I wonder if the fact that they didn’t have a busy offseason overseas or in Unrivaled has them kinda cold to start. They’ll get into gear eventually though.

Only thing I can clearly make out is “trash”. The second bit could be any number of things. Amateur lip reading is a terrible rabbit hole to go down.

She's a professional instigator.

BG has been nothing but supportive of Caitlin Clark. She's spoken very highly of CC and has embraced her on and off the court.

Riley Gaines is a hack who turned a fifth place finish into a career in hackery.



We all also know there's a huge difference between heat of the moment and the antics we regularly see from Angel and Dijonai.

Their roster had a lot of turnover. Might be that they need time to gel. NY had a girl in CC's grill no matter where she was on the floor. Good strategy since they have the athlete to do it.
