WNBA Fever 2026

Silver praised Engelbert’s leadership and the league’s growth under her tenure, noting that ownership is “very happy” with the WNBA’s trajectory.

The league's growth under her tenure is because of Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese. GTFO!

Indiana is coming through the draft in fairly good shape. If they can sign Mitchell and Cunningham, they will be pretty well set.

It would have been good though if they could have kept Chloe Bibby. She was an asset to the team.

Chicago gets two first round draft picks for Reese. They will miss her skills, but long term I think they got the best deal.

Yep. Angel's a hell of a player but she's an issue in locker rooms, and she'll probably be on the move again in two more years.

I think that the signing of Cunningham would be an important move for the team. Cunningham came into her own last season and is now an integral part of the team. Indiana has a solid foundation, and the players will only get better. Most important, the players play as a team and they all seem to enjoy playing with each other. They should be a strong contender this year. I really hope that they don't break up the top 6 or 7 players.

I'd like to see Sophie, Aari McDonald and Odyssey Sims in a perfect world.

The core five (Kelsey, Boston, CC, Lexie and Timpson) I don't expect to go anywhere this year. Next year, when it's time to pay Caitlin, things get tricky.

Had to pause on the saunas long enough to imagine Sophie climbing out of it. :p

Speaking of Sophie ... this might be real bad for your health:

I understand that the Fever to their roster, if so, she will be a good complement to CC.

Natasha Howard has signed with the Lynx for $1.4 million.

I figured Indiana wouldn't be able to keep her so no surprise there. I imagine Amber Cox knew this which is why Indiana signed Monique Billings.

But Indiana does still have Kelsey, Caitlin, Aliyah, Lexie and Sophie. Kind of surprised Aari McDonald and Odyssey Sims haven't been snagged, but Indiana should consider locking one of them or both in. Aari was a key piece last year, with and without Caitlin. And Odyssey Sims played a large role in keeping playoffs alive along with Kelsey, Lexie and Aliyah.

Draft is tomorrow night on ESPN.

Natasha didn't get the publicity some of the other Fever players got but she is still a talented player and will help most teams. The draft will be interesting.

The N.Y. Liberty also look strong with Lonescu, Stewart, Jonquel Jones, and the addition of Satou Sabally
