I've won a couple races on my FIA GTR game, but I just entered my first race that contained pit stops. I had it set at 67% length (2:00:00 or ~71 laps, which ever's first), but a full tank of gas is only 24.6 gallons, or ~49 minutes worth. Which means under normal conditions, it would be a 2 stop race (start with 49, 49 right before halfway, 20 near the end). Well, using some good math, i managed to make it past half way (1 hour) using the what I call the Rusty Wallace method, pitted at the 55 minute left mark, and continued the method and finished the race with 3 laps' worth of gas.
