WTF Paul Menard

who?Oh, the spoiled brat that gets everything paid for and has no idea how to drive….

There it is. I was waiting for it and it only took 6 posts. The bitching and moaning from a Nascar fan about how someone grew up with money and thats why they have their ride. Seriously its such a tired act at this point. Worry about your own lot in life and not someone else's. Do you suggest that Menard should be penalized for coming from money? Or better yet, because you feel he has no talent he shouldn't be allowed to race, even though he brings a fully funded ride to RCR year in and year out. All we ever here from the awful followers of this sport is about money, money, money. ******* cry babies.

I just re-watched the Menard incident. IDK why I thought he was racing Kurt. Danica was blowing by him on the low side, and gave him PLENTY of room. The idiot just turns up and into Harvick for no logical reason. Even dumber than I thought.

I think they were gonna wreck regardless, Fender.

Menard shouldn't have moved up like he did. No argument there. But Harvick and Joey should not have jumped out there on the outside of him, at the same time, side by side. Even if he moved down, Kurt was quickly approaching on his inside and bulldozing his way through the crowd, and do you think he would have slowed up in that situation? They were all trying to split Menard, and they would have been going into turn 1 four-wide regardless, so IMO, there's no way they would have gotten through turns 1 and 2 without wrecking.

Harvick and Joey should have stayed behind him, Kurt the bulldozer wud have wrecked them anyway...........Geez, you sound like Menards lawyer. ;)

Harvick and Joey were making the adjustment to having moved up at the same time. Joey cracked the throttle as Kevin moved down slightly. Meanwhile, there is room for another car between the 10 and the 27, but Menard just turns up hard and hits Harvick. That move didn't even make sense for getting thru the corner fast. He should have been down and next to Danica at the low speed he was going.

I have to disagree. The move looked like he was pissed Harvick tried to push him, or he decided to block when it was way too late.

Sure, I'll be Menard's lawyer and you can be the prosecutor. At least I know I'll be gettin' PAID. ;)

Again, I'm not disputing the fact that Menard shouldn't have moved up. That was dumb. My point was, like Harvick even said, they all knew Menard was on two tires and when he got that slow start, it was like a bunch of sharks smelling blood. They all just swarmed and tried to split him. Then he just slowly moved up the track (I didn't see an abrupt or hard turn) until he and Joey made a delicious Jimmy John's sandwich. It looked to me like Menard only gave enough room for one car to get through, as if he knew someone was out there but didn't realize that Joey and Harvick were actually side by side. Immediately after Menard hits Harvick, he moves back down the track a little, and Jimmie appears to come up the track a little and squeeze the bulldozer Kurt into Menard.

I know I'm playing the what-if game here, but had Menard stayed down, they're going at least four wide into turn 1, with Jimmie and Kurt charging hard on the inside behind Danica. I would have loved to have seen them get through that without wrecking. Alas, it wasn't meant to be.

Yeah, I knew you didn't have it in you to be kind. Just like your boy.

So, let's get back on topic here and reiterate the facts. Kyle should definitely be a part of this discussion. Had he not wrecked Truex, Menard's wreck would never have happened. I think NASCAR needs to look into the 100% rule on this one, because clearly this was attempted race manipulation by Kyle. He was trying to screw both Kasey and Harvick over. I guess one out of two ain't bad. ;)

May have worked had he convinced #20's CC to put on 4 tires ;)

And FTR, I have no problem with what Menard did Sunday night.

Only having 2 tires certainly didn't help but for whatever reason the outside lane at Atlanta sucks for the #2 guy

Seems like a that's racing moment to me. We have probably mentally relived or analysied this more than the actual participants.

I like how when a guy we like blows up a restart, he spun the tires. But when it's a guy we don't like, he missed a shift.

This is awesome. I love how Rowdy gets brought into the thread. Unlike Menard, Rowdy actually has talent. Even if he is a mouth piece.

Harvick sounded like he didn't even care in the interview afterwards really. Neither he nor Logano were going to win and they don't have anything pressing to race for.

Typical Gordon slide job. Paul wasn't feeling so he did the next best thing, move him out of the way.

Short track with short temperaments. Moving on.
He didn't just "move" him, he took him out and it coulda been bad if he hit the wall or other cars.

LOL. Yep.

Lest we forget, I'd just like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that this entire incident was Kyle Busch's fault. He and he alone is to blame for putting Paul Menard and everyone else into a bad situation on that restart. :)
