Xfinity RACE thread --- Atlanta

lol. The whole damn track is traffic genius. The 39 was upfront and got hooked

If not for Sheldon Creed's pit issues, would he had been involved in that accident? Having good track position lessens your chance of getting caught in someone else's mess.

Guys get hooked while leading all the time. It's a game of odds. Your odds are better out front.

Needing help to pass isn’t what racing is about.
I’m hoping the next segment is better.
So far, it sucks.
More horsepower and less aero, please. This is embarrassing.

Its ok, you dont know what you dont know.

Anyway back to the race - I don't see how Hill gets around Haley. Hemric isn't going to help him and I don't know if JHN would go with him either. Plate racing is a high speed chess match, I guess that's too advanced for some. ;)

All the talk about Austin Hill, when Haley is just as good at this style of racing. Should be a heck of a battle

How did Fontana never resemble a plate race?
For whatever reason that beautiful 75’ wide, worn out track was sold… and this crap track is on the schedule.

It is less than ideal for Kaulig that the only car not eligible for the playoffs is the leader here. Chandler and Daniel could use the win and playoff points.

People sent YEARS complaining about Fontana being a bore. It was one of the most hated tracks on the circuit for YEARS. The track wearing out is why the racing got passable and the Next Gen package seemed to work well there.

Fontana also needs a repave so we'd get another 10-15 years of boring racing. Atlanta was in the same position, which is why we got what we have now.

Unfortunately racing is a business. I suppose the land under the track was worth more than the racing.

This track sort of races like late 80’s Daytona, the draft is still in play but if you have a good handling car you can make a few passes without some help and breakaway from the draft a bit. As much as I hate what has been done to Atlanta, I really think once the pavement ages, the draft will become less in play as tire wear and handling becomes even more of a premium

No one is going with Hill.

You would think that someone would push Hill to the front to maximize their own finishing position. Unless someone helps Hill, everyone is racing for 4th.

Only if you can compromise him
