That Gibbs child will be the end of KB on the JGR team. At least as the lead car. KB has to be dreading his move to the top.

Unlikely. The talent gap between Xfinity and Cup is large while the funding gap between top teams isn’t. When Ty finally gets to Cup, all of the competitive teams he will be racing against will have just as much talent as himself and he will have to race them straight up without equipment being an advantage. Right now IMO theres nothing showing that he will perform any better than Erik Jones did while at JGR or Christopher Bell currently.
The more likely scenario is that MTJ is either pushed out or retires by then or Hamlin moves to his own team.
