That was an absolute travesty.
For every Josh Berry and Justin Allgaier he employs, there’s a Sammy Smith and Sam Mayer.I love how everyone licks Jr’s backside and praises him as a racer’s racer, but he’s one of the worst offenders in employing these entitled rich pricks. He doesn’t have the balls to park Smith or anything, that Pilot and TMC check is too important.
I agree this has gone beyond good hard racing. It has become a clown show and demolation derby, a total disservice.Sad that the sport has come to this, something needs to happen to clean it up.
A fricking men. But no one ever calls him out on it.For every Josh Berry and Justin Allgaier he employs, there’s a Sammy Smith and Sam Mayer.
No, I finished 5th in my iRacing league this week.Doc recovered to 16th.
They really messed up on the camara work if Carla Metts was doing the interview. They should have backed up to provide a full body shot. What a cowardly, terrible interview by Smith
Kim Coon did his interview I believe, but the rest still applies. They really messed up on the camara work if Carla Metts was doing the interview. They should have backed up to provide a full body shot.
We need Doc to check the eyesight on some of these Xfinity driversDoc recovered to 16th.
I was rooting for the Eyeman!Doc recovered to 16th.
I agree with your first sentence. This race was an embarrassment to the sport. Not a single one of the morons in the series deserves a Cup ride. Somebody needs to pimp slap a few of these rich punks and remind them this isn’t ****** iRacing.
Fitting that Austin Hill flukes into the win after all the BS.

They need to start penalizing them a lap for that king of crap.
Something tells me Jr. will be : 50% Sammys fault, 50% NASCAR's fault.I wonder what Jrs dirty mo media podcast will say about this.
Until the next Martinsville with the "win and you are in" jamboree.Something tells me Jr. will be : 50% Sammys fault, 50% NASCAR's fault.
Nascar should sit Sammy for 3 races and then Jr. should fire him.
That will straighten this mess quick and in a hurry.
I don't think that is a priority of Nascar myself. That isn't good for their ratings. They will probably slap Slamming Sammy of the wrists like they did Austin and move on. Most fans don't realize how big of a carrot they are holding in front of drivers for the win and you are in thing. The Wood Brothers besides the playoff berth that year were awarded over 3 million dollars and other perks for this year. See the team improvement with that cash?I've watched maybe a handful of NASCAR races in the last two years and if anyone asks me why I'm gonna show them the finish of yesterday's race.
If there's a silver lining in this than it's the fact Sammy didn't win. Of course Sammy pulled a BS move but at the same time the "rich kids" talk is a bit unjustified.
How are young drivers support to race cleanly when we see similar moves at the top level of the sport several times a year?
NASCAR needs to hand out penalties for intentional and/or excessively stupid wrecks if they want to be taken serious as a sport.
Uh, duh yeah?
Kinda hard to rule out what Austin Dillon did and all of the hidey hoes going on with race manipulation surrounding the playoffs. Not sure if I agree. Earnhardt and many others used to make the same moves 30 years ago before the playoff format was introduced.
