Xfinity RACE thread --- Phoenix

Hailey continues to outperform his teammate a bit Chastain

Kinda looked like the 90 came down on him more than needed.

Basset a certified red-ass tho.

Christopher Bell was TRD’s sparkle pony (and deservedly so). Him moving up allowed JGR to spread the resources more evenly among the 3 Xfinity teams. Making Kyle run a part time team instead of one of the flagship rides has helped as well. I’ve never thought Brandon Jones was a hall of famer, but he wasn’t as bad as the past few seasons have made him look.

Brandon has been driving in Xfinity for five years and he has always been with top-tier teams.
He wasn't competitive at all in his first 3.5 years in the series.
He was competitive today.

In that peer group, on Monday morning you’re as good as you were last week and next weekend is coming.

So, is it the car? or is Brandon Jones the new GOAT?
Hard to tell. Kryle threw his pit crew under the bus half way thru the race, he isn't in the 18, Herbst is busy grinding the fenders off of it. With their new whatever ya call it car I don't think they need Busch, didn't need him last year either. He can't poach all five races like he does in the trucks to win the truck manufacturers championship, and this year I doubt he will be able to do that with other cuppers keeping him honest

Harrison Burton beat the Busch.
I think he is leading the series in the preachers stuff, and when I said that KBM stuff isn't the cream of the crop in the trucks I got a lot of opinions that said different. But I think with Burton's success, a comparison can be made. Put a cup driver behind the wheel of a KBM truck? Different story.
