Xfinity RACE thread -- Talladega

Let's see Sadler:
1) wasn't maintaining minimum speed because he was half sideways wrecking
2) was being bumped not pushed which should've resulted in a penalty
3) passed below the yellow line
4) wasn't the leader across the finish line
5) no yellow flag or caution lights came on

Yes, this sport is awesome
Sadler was still going faster than pace car speed, he was probably going over twice as fast as caution pace..

Feel bad widdle jolo messed with the bull and got the horns. No I don't BAZINGA!!

 I'm pretty unbiased when it comes to how I view races. Kyle got moved out of the way last week and I said it was a great finish and congrats to Carl. Ask Michfan

I know you did, but I'm just saying you wouldn't be going on and on and on about it, you'd be happy Kyle won, etc. Like I am with Sadler. I'm fine with him winning, but I also know it's pretty BS that he won.

I don't understand how some of you never get frustrated with nascars clown show of inconsistent rules and enforcement of them

Keep your foul language to yourself, or take it to The Podium.
If you want to spout off, that's the place to do it.

So ride buyer lucks into a win and Poole a good young talent trying to make his mark gets robbed of the win and will go back to finishing 20th every week. Gotta love the Xfinity series: We ruin names here

Poole is a ride buyer also, I like the kid but it's true.

I dont know why you guys are making a big deal, the caution light came on when Sadler was still in the lead

That's a 3D graphic thrown in their because the track lights and flag man didn't throw one. Meaning the result should've stood

I don't get it either. You can argue that the caution shouldn't have come out, but you can't blame NASCAR for putting it out with a wreck like that.
I kind of feel they shouldnt of thrown it, but I completely understand why they did, and yeah, it would of been cool if Poole won, but for me, least a Xfinity regular won.

If the caution hadn't been put out the people on here would be screaming even louder about endangering the drivers. I for one am glad they threw it.
Pretty much this right here.

All I care about is consistency. NASCAR will do something completely different tomorrow based on who's leading. Watch. I apoogize for my over the top anger that was just ridiculous that Poole got robbed like that. That's career making.

Props for apologizing

I think we can all agree that we want NASCAR to a lot more consistent , so I am with you there.

I haven't followed Brennan Poole but after seeing his post race interview I'll pay more attention to him. That was the best interview I've seen by a close, and potentially angry, loser in a long long time.
He wasn't bitter at all because he knew that it is what it is. You can't teach that with a crash course, It has to be ingrained from a young age.

Happy one of the regular, developmental drivers won rather than a cup regular.

I just don't see how throwing the caution there does anything for safety though, Koch was going to plow into Joey no matter what. Throwing the caution doesn't magically make cars not wreck anymore then if they left it green for the 2 seconds it takes to get to the finish line.

I didn't see the race today but I have thoroughly enjoyed the thread and I am not the least bit surprised a fiasco and a wreck occurred. Just last fall Nascar allowed Kevin Harvick to jack up the field and then wipe out cars to his advantage, Mark Martin and Regan Smith were denied wins in previous years and the series always seems to get a black eye for boredom or dumbassery after a plate event.

Logano likewise harbored no ill feelings toward Sadler, despite his hard crash into the outside wall.
"I know Elliott is a great speedway racer, and he knew what he had to do to win the race, and I knew what I had to do to try to keep him behind me," Logano said. "He went to make the move on the top, and then he pulled it down to the bottom and got it underneath me, and then I was a little late to the block.
"He was already there. Around I went and hit a bunch of other stuff along the way."

Kenseth in his old age could learn a thing or two about "racing".

Often times there is no rhyme or reason as to why Nascar calls or does not call a caution. IDK if they rotate people in and out that make those decisions or the person who makes the decision flips a coin to to decide but there is no semblance of sense involved.

Logano wrecked Kenseth last year and he wrecked himself today. I was hoping he'd win today because he isn't going to be winning much in Cup with the new aero Package
