Xfinity RACE thread --- Talladega

Austin Hill is a goober

did we get an update on Connor?

Edit: we did now

I understand driver safety should be the top priority, but would it really kill anyone to wait a few extra seconds? I'm guessing it wouldn't, otherwise they would hire athletic folks for the safety crew, not some fat tub of goo that typically gets to the crash first

Right, and that was all the way on the backstretch. Nobody was upside down. Nobody was on fire. They had time to slow down.

Doesn’t Jeb Burton realizes we are looking at an angle, so…perspective will be a bit different. Unfortunate when Dega and Daytona are your only chances to win snd you come up one spot short. But it’s part of the sport. 🤷‍♂️

They will try and justify it by saying it was for the safety crew to get to the 88 quicker, blah blah blah. What a joke
Yeah, I know, but on the backstretch on the last lap, the race is over, the safety crew could be out on the track, they are done racing a mile away. :idunno:

yeah Burton is wishful thinking.

NASCAR has no idea how/when to throw a yellow. There's never any logic behind it. But Sawyer will come out and say it was necessary so the fatty in the AMR pickup truck could put down his cheeseburger, slowly drive to the crash, and stroll his way over to the driver

Thank God for that yellow, otherwise all the drivers would have kept racing a mile after the checkered flag, and some safety worker could have been in danger!!!!

Austin Hill is the luckiest driver in the history of NASCAR. I'm amazed how he's able to pull off these wins out of nowhere. He obviously puts himself in position, so skill is also a factor.

The guy isn't on the radar for Cup, yet he keeps getting rides because of these insanely clutch wins. How did he even win Martinsville? It's crazier than Creed's string of runner ups.
