Xfinity RACE thread --- Texas

I know 3 drivers with 7 championships each and they did 20 of them by being the best all season. Then there is Kyle who some think is better BUT he has 2 championships in the "gimme a win" series championships.
Are any of those 7 championship drivers still driving? 🤔

Kyle Busch is an American racing driver. Over the course of his racing career, Busch won multiple NASCAR races, 55 of which were in Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series as well as 96 in Xfinity Series and 56 in Camping World Truck Series for a total of 206 wins across NASCAR's top 3 Series.

Hooray. 55 Cup wins is impressive, just not the best BUT he still has time.
He still doesn't dominate to be a real Champion under the system of points.

Someone has to be the greatest.

I wonder how many other drivers would’ve put getting less and less wins over the last two seasons, on not having practice. Guess we’ll never know.
Too many variables throughout the history of the sport.
Almost impossible to compare drivers from different eras.

Yeah but I’m talking about Cup.
Good try? What did I “try?”
Of course you are. But it’s a dumb reason, and I was saying it’s a dumb reason for the fact you can use that excuse for any sport. So stop trying.

Kyle is great, I don’t think there’s an argument to say that he’s not.

As far as the best, it’s really not even close. Just one instance, he went head to head against Jimmie Johnson (who is an actual GOAT contender) his entire career and got destroyed by him.

Unless Kyle Busch gets a second wind in his career and rattles off 30 more wins or 5 or more championships, him being in the GOAT conversation is pointless.

Is he a hall of fame driver and in the conversation of one of the best to ever get in a stock car? Absolutley.

Is he in the conversation as the best of all time with Petty, Earnhardt, Pearson, Gordon, and Johnson? Not yet.
