Has the points scale gone up? Seems like everyone is getting more points this year than last year.

Well, everyone except for me...

Well, everyone except for me...
And people like me. :(

We seem to be doing our best to keep the median score in tact. As good as many seem to be doing this year I've been able to hit the lower end of the scale consistently. #sucksbigtimeatfantasynascar

So the question is now , do you jump on the Penske /Junior /Harvick bandwagon or is their run about to run out ? They may be good picks for the whole year like Kenseth was last year , or they may be three race wonders . Good chance to make up ground with a Menard pick :)

Well, certainly last week was a good time to make up ground with a Menard pick looking at it as a Monday morning crew chief. Are you going to pick him for Bristol? Are you going to pick him for any race for that matter? That is, before you've used up all of your prime drivers. Menard would be a tough pick for me but then again, you may not be able to hear me say this clear back here in 41st position. :D

Then a wreck takes out 3 of your 4 drivers in one shot leaving your bench to score 350pts for which you'll never be given credit.

A venerable old sage of the forum once told me not to use up all of my Jimmie Johnson picks too early in the season . I had intended to keep him on the bench last week but my #1 guy had a lousy practice and qualifying . I'm not going to pick Menard , but I still don't have the nerve to pick a Stewart Haas driver either . Penske is starting to benifit from teamwork a year later than I thought ,so Hendrick and Penske will be my picks . Love the Gibbs drivers and they are a threat to win every week , but I sure would like to see some consistancy. There you go , your formula to success.:)

That's what is going to kill me and a lot of others at Bristol . Tire failures and accidents . Even the guys at the front like Kyle have to deal with lapped traffic every lap . Rookies don't know how much to give and how much to take . I thought I would like to have Jeff Burton on my list this week but I guess he's not entered.

Points is points. Doesn't matter when. Beginning of the season or late in the year. If you throw in the luck factor and play them while their hot, you'll win this game.

picking bristol is easier than the plate tracks! looking for a BIG move up in the standings this week! (can't go much lower).:D

I've actually remembered to pick my drivers every race so far .... wish I could say I've remembered to hit the "Save Roster" button every time, though.

10 for first, 5 for second, 3 for 3rd, 1 for fourth.

Yahoo has unhidden player's picks if anyone wants to see who has what :D

They open it after the green flag to start the race. Some weeks just after the race starts I check my closest competition to see if we picked the same drivers.

Got 318 points. Maintain second spot and get a point closer but still 67 points behind leader

I doubt many would admit to it, but it also allows one to see which drivers needs to have a bad race in order to gain points on the competition.

In an unrelated note I know of a service that can assist you in assuring a bad race for your opponets, all for a very reasonable fee.

I haven't used them in the yahoo league but I can vouch for their effectiveness.
In a different series last year they contracted a infamous Canadian to drive like a psycho and on another occasion they simply used a tossed shoe on the track to thwart the efforts of the targeted driver.

Everyone is scoring so high...while I continue to score so low! Why am I even playing!?!? :)

After Week #4, Brewster Baker Racing retains the top spot with a weeks score of 317. Is there anyone out there willing to step up and knock this guy off that top spot? It sure doesn't look like it. Brewster Baker Racing sets the number to beat @ 1369. An average of 342.5 for the season. 67 points behind, gaining 1 point on the leader this week is Rockears001. Rockears001 is holding on strong waiting on Brewster Baker Racing to make a wrong move. Rounding out the top five in the season's overall standings are Kenseth # 1, FLRacingFan, & Patrick/PantiePackerRacin.

Burning Rubberis the big point getter this week with the top score of 345. Burning Rubber is also this weeks biggest mover @ +11. Don't look now but last week's biggest mover, Matthew2470, also had yet another strong week @ +10.

Next up it's the Auto Club 400 @ Auto Club Speedway, Fontana, CA

Deadline to select your drivers is Mar 21 5:00am EDT
