Do you support full scale armed US intervention against the government of Iraq at this time?

Yes

And Paul you should have made this a poll. It would be easier to read how many said no and yes.

Yes full scale for sure, anything less is a waste of taxpayers dollors.;)

Yes, but I would like to add that after we have topeled the iraq government we and the un or any other countries suporting us when we go in. All need to help them set up some type of new government, or basically just help them get a new start.

Yes, and I hope it doesn't take long or turn into something that we can't handle.

Yes, and if I understand correctly, the president has the power to command it to happen with or without an ok from congress. IMO, he needs to forget congress, quit talking about it so that Saddam knows what he's doing, and just DO IT when no one expects it.

Very true PenskeGirl. We have pretty much told him everything except the date and time of the attack............

I don't think that he should "forget congress" or the UN.

This isn't a dictatorship remember?

Interesting responses. Makes me wonder why certain members of the media would have us believe that Bush does not enjoy the support of most Americans on this issue.

Well, I don't really wonder. I know why they do it.

Yes, but having servered during troubled times (Viet Nam) I will pray for all involved. Won't be a cake walk, you may lose some of the ones you love.

No, If we were to attack Iraq, chances are that this would arise with even More terrorist attacks. With all of these Arab countries with access to terroists in America, I would not take action in Iraq until Absoulutley neccesary. Also, there is really no Hard evidence that Iraq is making Nucs to bomb us with, just the suspicious moves that they make to our bomb inspectors. I think that the only time when we can intervene is when we find hard evidence that Iraq is making nuclear weapons. IMO

It's ABSOLUTELY necessary right now! Not when they have nukes.....before they have nukes. While we are hiding in our closet, trembling, we give Hussein more time to do us worse. The time has come (actually come and gone) to suck it up and do what has to be done. Being "Mr. Nice Guy" or "Mr. Trusting" is not protecting you or me......the Arabs and other countries will just have to fend for themselves if they can't see the urgency (emergency!!). Wake up.....this world is not as nice and friendly as any of us would like.

I have no problem with it as long as we help them out after we get rid of there government I don't want our military to just go in there and kill sadam and leave.

Smack........this country has never done that in the past!! Look at Japan, Germany........even Viet Nam (and we gave up there!). That should be the least of your concerns.

Im not saying we shouldn't go in there if we don't have the uns support but if we do go in there without support from the un its gonna cause more terrorism on us. Its just gonna piss even more people off from other countries.

Then we'll blow them up too.

Does no one remember the founding principles of this country? Freedom. Liberty. Independence. Adherence to the teachings of God. These ideals were enough for our forefathers to leave the known world and travel at great peril to the complete unknown. Think about that for one minute. Once they got here, they became upset because they were asked to financially support a government that refused to recognize their very existence. They rebelled. They fought. They died. They won.

Every armed conflict this country has involved itself in since that time has involved freedom. And Liberty. And independence. Sadly, we have gotten away from the adherence to the teachings of God part. When this country opened its borders to one and all, shining a beacon of liberty to be seen the world over, that offer was made with a price. The price is that all within our borders will be lovers of liberty, freedom, and independence. Why else would politically correct imbeciles be allowed to rant this country into the shape it's in now?

13 months ago, the rules changed. We didn't change them; our liberties were used against us to change them. Forever. The brainwashed puppets of a madman were sent to destroy as many of us as could be destroyed. No regard whatsoever was given to a single soul aboard those aircraft, in those buildings, or anywhere else. We as a nation cannot fathom the depth of outright hatred that single day symbolizes.

We as a people cry out for consideration for the citizenry of these Arab nations. What consideration was our citizenry given?

We as a people defy our leaders and the decisions they make. What defiance did we see in the streets of Afghanistan on September 11, 2001?

We as a people mourn the deaths of innocents on foreign soil. What mourning did we see when our innocents were slaughtered?

We as a people are indecisive as to how to best protect our very lives. Did anyone among us notice any indecisiveness when 2 airplanes veered toward our buildings? Buildings filled with fathers....mothers....brothers and sisters and children and husbands and wives and ministers and policemen and God alone knows who else?

I'll put this as simply as I know how: These monsters do not play fair. They hate everything about you, everything about me. Our very existence is an afront to them. They hate us enough to die just so they can kill us. Their opinion of you would not change if they only knew you. They hate us as we feed them. They hate us as we spend millions to aid them. I don't know if you have ever had anyone spit in your face. I've never felt the moisture, but my face was spit in 13 months ago. And I for one will be damned if I forget what that felt like.

We got off lucky, you and I. We weren't in one of those planes. We weren't in one of those buildings. Our families don't sit down to dinner and stare at an empty chair. Our children don't ask where mommy or daddy is, and when are they coming home. My parents were spared the torture of burying their son. If we owe anybody anything, it sure as hell ain't the Iraqi people.

This being America, you have the right to disagree with me. You have the right to question. You have the right to access the internet and publicly voice opposition to the will of your government. Untold thousands have died to provide you with that liberty....that freedom...that level of independence. How you use it is your business. I just exercised my right to free speech. By all means, exercise yours.

But if you're smart, you'll think twice before walking into my yard and telling me who I owe what to.

My allegiance is undying because my appreciation for what this country is is undying. I do not intend to imply that anyone whose opinion on the matter of attacking Iraq differs fom mine has no allegiance. Be perfectly clear about that. But I most certainly owe more consideration to our fighting men and women, to the victims who were butchered to satisfy the bloodlust of a madman, and to those four founding principles than I do to those who rejoice at the slaughter of Americans. To them I say

See you in Hell.

TNW, YOU won't see that SOB in hell, cuz you're not going there.

DAMN SADDAMN TO HELL
