You opinion on Keselowski's losing move at Pocono?

Ummmmm I dont know............ The debris was still there after the race was over and the engine didnt appear to be blowing steam :idunno:

Well, mathematically, Jr. is listed 13th among current drivers.

The've not even updated yet(Still has Johnson as last winner) so he'd move up and be tied with Bobby Labonte and Jeff Burton.(who aren't even really that active to start with) another win Jr cracks the top 10 of active drivers.(even tho if you count ties, he's already top 10)

I'm a Brad fan, I was a fan of his dad too, but that wasn't one of his smarter moves. Drive er till she blows.

The move would have worked out better for him if the 10 didn't wash up the hill and him deciding to follow her up. I understand his intentions, didn't work though.

He made a decision, and if it would have worked, a lot of fans would have thought he was a hero, but it didn't so a lot of fans rates him a zero. As it turned out he may have made it if he had stayed out front...but it's easy for us to look at it in hindsight. At least he didn't throw a tantrum like some drivers would have after that loss. The one thing i do know is that he had a lot more to lose by this loss then any of us here did.

Would people be criticizing him if he drove it & blew up with 2 to go, laying down a trail of oil & it took out some front runners?

What if he blows up on the final lap & the caution comes out before Jr gets by him... since the field is frozen at the yellow is Brad the winner?

I see what he was trying to do and he said post-race that his engine wasn't gonna make it if he didn't get the trash off the grill. Makes sense, but in the end his engine did make to the end.

I think you already know that answer.;)

Great post, took the words right out of my keyboard!!! How many drivers could have had the hit that Kasey took if he would have oiled down the tunnel turn? He made a racing decision and it didn't work out for him. How many other decisions do drivers make that end up ruining someone else's day. Only his day was ruined, even Jr. said he wasn't the best car today!!! I say class act for both Brad and Jr.

That was a tough move he attempted and very poorly executed giving up the momentum he had, not to mention the timing was nowhere close to working out.

The mistake wasn't trying to use Danica to remove the debris. His spotter should have been chatting up Danica's spotter to see if she would help him with the debris (and not move out of the way like lapped cars normally do). If she says no, fine, then you have a tough decision to make and we're back to our debate. If she cooperates, though, Brad wins running away.

If anything that piece of trash would have acted like tape & caused some aero downforce. Brad was pulling away fast before that move. In the end, his car made it to the end and was still fast. Don't see why he couldn't have pushed it. Guarantee you we all slept better than Brad last night ;)

He made a mistake, pure and simple. I don't know of any driver that hasn't done something ridiculous that cost them a race.
As someone pointed out, there was the possibility of the engine letting go and causing more problems. If that had happened,
people would be all over him. He can't win for losing.

I think it would have been dumb to drive by a car and not try to get the debris off. He just messed up the move a little and caught her in a turn rather than on a straight. Funny thing is I tweeted him a year ago and asked why the cooling fans don't have a reverse switch to help blow debris off the grill. The way that bag was flopping around when he exited turns makes me think it needed just a little push.

Bad move. He said it was going to blow up unless he tried that. He still didn't get the trash off and the engine still didn't blow.

After their done with their team meeting this morning, i would love to hear what Roger has to say about the whole deal.

But the car still made it, and in dirty air :idunno:

jr one lap away from having 4 wins this season. the trash was still on brad's grille at the end of the race. He should have run it till it blew.

Brad tried to save the car and get a good points day, I think he knew the car wouldn't last. I think he made a smart move, it didn't work but that was his only option at the time. Even though the win and in attitude is prominent this year I think points still matter because they affect the ranking in the playoff and a few bonus points can help.

wouldn't have mattered what he did around here, the 20 20 hindsighters would have buried him. Can't believe there isn't a Jeff Gordon post yet. This might be a record.
A jeff gordon post for what? Finishing 8th?

Jeff Gordon is better than Brad because he didn't have trash on his grill. But if he'd had anything on it, it would have been Gustafsons fault!

If the trash came off when he got up to the 10 and he roared past Jr to win he'd be called a genius...Well, by some anyway.

hhmmmm.

Can you see someone like Larson doing what Brad did? Larson be like....."Foot....meet floor....engine please stay together"

Danica IMHO leaves it on the floor too.....

After clearing it with boss Tony lol ;)
