Darlington Bonehead

Shoulda coulda B.S. I would like to have had a camera on the old 20 team that got Bell into the playoffs and got dumped. That is only a move that should be done in the most extreme circumstances. It is terrible for the whole company morale. And then Bell beat himself, nobody put him into the wall.
100%. Swapping crews is dog****....and whenever the crew puts Bell behind--which happens a lot--he overdrives into mistakes. Terrible.

I think it's more on the 11 than the 45. Yeah, 45's issue gave Larson the lead, but if Larson didn't hit the wall and have the shifter issue, he assumes control of the race, instead of Reddick.

Not sure if this is what you're saying, but the 11 was the only Toyota who should have won today, mistakes aside.

100%....on the 11. That is what I am saying. Reddick was never going to win that race....he was outdriven by the 5--the car didn't matter there.

There was no "we" to it. Nah, you bragged YOUR ass off and ya FAFO lol.
You like that keyboard warrior FAFO don't you. Nice flex. I did brag, and I will do it again. FAFO-boy.

Stupid move. Rookie Ty's pit crew is the best JGR had. Giving a rookie the best pit crew? Of course Ty's pit crew thought they are royalty pitting the admiral's barge.

No it isn't.

If any respected driver within an organization is on the outside looking in. There is absolutely nothing wrong with swapping crews. Especially when statistically, the 54's pit crew has been one of, if not one of the fastest in the field.

Mistakes happen, its just really hurts within this playoff system. Mistakes are costly, if Bell has another bad race, he's done for. Bell as talented as he is still makes mistakes and can be extremely erratic at times. I hope improves the next two weeks.

Looks and sounds good on paper, but human nature (change) doesn't like being shuffled around, they aren't machines

Again, I don't care who is at fault. When you are given the car to win, you need to ****** win. This has happened way too many times.

We do have fun with opinions, but more often than not, those opinions are confused as statements of fact. The facts here are that somebody ****** up, and I am over it because it has happened too many times. In a quasi-spec series, it is rare to get an advantage such as what WE have. When you have that advantage, you absolutely cannot let a talent like Larson steal one because he will take many on his own ability. This is a recipe for getting your ass kicked....and WE did. I like being a delusional fan. I really do. Balances out the real **** in my life when I have to act like a grown up. I am off today, and I plan to sulk.
And my previous comment aside, cup races are really really hard to win.

There's only a small handful of drivers/race teams these last 20 years I can think of who will almost always win with a dominant car.

Well, my entire point was that the 11 team MAY have been a victim of something they had ZERO control over. If it had happened to one of "MY" teams, I would be pissed off too, but I would want to be sure my wrath was directed upon the proper target. One of the ways in which auto racing differs from other sports is the sheer number of potential pitfalls that can befall you that you have ZERO control over.

Okay.....I will rephrase.....if nobody did anything wrong (unlikely), I point my wrath at the body of work this year. WE have ****canned many races over the same ****** problem--which isn't raw speed. I am here to accommodate.

This is why you cannot repeatedly **** up when you do have a dominant car.

1000000% disagree. The sport sells the "team sport" narrative. You don't ****can your team for another when the most important part of the year starts. Period. I respectfully disagree--no give on this. I hate it.

Harvick gets an honorable mention. The wreck happened while he was still well behind the pit entrance. He had time to steer out of the pits & into the racetrack. Then, he decides to stop for tires instead of doing a pass through. I really wanted to see him get a win in his final season. His durability as a top driver in the Cup series has been impressive.
The pit entry light changed right as he was a few yards away from it. Byron and Larson had time to swing back on track since they were behind. No chance Harvick could’ve done that. Byron just barely made it off.

Fedewa gave the call to pit instead of roll through. Not sure what the difference would’ve been.

Reddick knows where he needs to peel off for pit entry so if he got the call late it’s still on him to not Quin Houff the field, imo.

I have to go with Bowman for letting Suarez push his buttons and throwing the block he did... and Suarez for crashing Bowman, himself, and whoever crashed behind them.

Reddick has made mistakes all his career.

He and Larson were equally fast last night, and I absolutely new Larson had it wrapped up just because Reddick is too mistake prone.

His pit decision was the bonehead of the race, imo.

I thought that Reddick had an opportunity for a career defining moment, and Larson outran him. Tyler Reddick is not Kyle Larson. Not even a little, and Kyle Larson knows it.

Catch up revman. Why do you think I said Bowman was a bonehead for throwing the block he did? You try way too hard to start arguments when there are no arguments to start.
Ah BS.....

Not quite calling him an ass really....but whatever. Did he win anything in dirt before his accident? Been a long year for him. Must have been frustrated.

I will make it as clear as I possibly can for you ... Bowman was an ass for throwing that block. I have never had a problem holding my drivers accountable when they do stupid things. So what do you think of Suarez for crashing himself and other cars out of the race? You seem to be pretty quiet about that? ;)

I wouldn't have expected anything different from you. Hopefully Denny learns what a loose wheel feels like before he knocks the 11 team out of the playoffs. :D

New positive Toyota news means Darlington has dissipated into the universe.

T'is but a memory.

Never lose your enthusiasm man and never change.

Thanks brother. Darlington? When was that? ;)

That whole Bowman Saurez event was on Bowman. Suarez had a lane open to the right of Bowman, had his car at his right rear quarter panel (not on his panel, next to his panel) and Bowman again came up at caused the big wreck. It was all on Bowman.

Yes Bowman was at fault for the blocking but Suarez could have lifted and not caused the wreck. So I would definitely say the bulk of the fault lies with Bowman, but not the whole of it. Suarez definitely has some fault in it.

Nope.

Once Bowman made the second block, it was all on him.

So once Bowman made the second block some magical power stopped Suarez from taking his foot off the gas? Of course not. I'll give Bowman 99% of the blame, but Suarez gets 1% because if he lifted the wreck wouldn't have happened. If I was Suarez I probably would have done the same thing. Bowman deserved to be wrecked after the second block, but the other cars didn't and Suarez could have prevented that but chose not to so he gets some blame.

Hamlin had a vibration and he’s been around long enough to know what a loose wheel feels like. Even if it wasn’t a loose wheel the problem went away when they put new tires on. It wasn’t his fault.
