Predicting the first four out of the Chase was fun. So let's pick the next four to be eliminated. Here are mine:

Edwards
Newman
Hamlin
Kenseth

The wild card in all of this is Talladega. Should be interesting.

This is going to be a cluster....

I bet you there are two surprise eliminations this round due to 'Dega.

So I'll go with:
Jr.
Logano
Edwards
Hamlin
 
Hamlin
Kyle Busch
Kasey Khane
and for **** and giggles, Jr.

Kahne
Edwards
Newman

This round may be a good predictor of who finishes highest at Homestead. People who run well at Kansas/Charlotte tend to run pretty well down there.

I see no reason to think that #22 is any kind of threat at Homestead but if #24 makes it, the other 3 are in serious trouble.

Did u see a reason to think the 22 was a threat at Richmond, Bristol or New Hampshire? I mean even I pretty much wrote him off semi-annually at Richmond and New Hampshire for the past 5 years... now it will never surprise me to see him grab a win at any track. Having said that ..I do agree with the latter half of that statement.

i keep seeing the name Newman.....this thread is next four out not the final four at Homestead, so better exchange Newman. ;)
 
The next eliminated four nations will be:

Kyle Busch nation (Kansas will get them)
Kahne nation(just to inconsistent)
Newman nation (the 31's no top5s lack of speed, good little nation with no nuclear abilities)
Hamlin nation (but I am on the fence with them, they will be strong @ Talladegar.)

1st alternate: Edwards nation, I think they are better than Hamlin nation over the next three, but Hamlin nation has the serious win potential at Dega.

The other likely candidates Junior nation and Kenseth nation will be OK. They both are definitely top 8 nation material and will point their way to the final 8 nations, wins or not.

Harvick nation, Gordon nation, Johnson nation, Keselowski nation and Lagano nation are just too good to get out-pointed. It will take a DNF to eliminate one of those superpower nations , and another problem event to eliminate them. They are capable of overcoming the former nation Almirola (Chicago) type of setback.

But Harvick nation and Lagano nation are the biggest risk driver/nations among the superpowers. Harvick nation has had a great year with the exception of infrastructure and not closing the deal this year. I guess I am picking on Joey nation they are very capable of winning it all, but I think Keselowski nation is a better high stakes big money nation, just a little more complete imo.
 
If Kyle can make it through Kansas in one piece he will advance. I think he will.

Was thinking Kansas would do Kyle and Talladega would take him out of his misery.

I think he is the same guy that gave Tony Stewart some kind a funny name. I don't get Pearl either or KKK I guess Kahne?
