Kyle Busch says Toyota teams are “idiots” by not working close together

Absolutely, Kyle18fan. You nailed it. After Dover '12, Kyle ripped into TRD, and the hammer dropped. Coach reigned Kyle in and consistent with Coach's management of Kyle's career, Kyle backed it down while maintaining his opinion. Coach has never tried to change Kyle but has insisted that if he wanted to maintain employment, he would have to present to the public in a different way. Kyle is smart and complied.

Kyle Busch wants every advantage he can get to win because he is a ******* winner. He has never wanted TRD. He has said this. Cool thing is that TRD feels that if they give Kyle what he needs, he will be a champion, and the relationship will take care of itself. They are not offended by Kyle, but they demand some sense of respect. Look at the outreach by TRD to support KBM. Toyota and TRD know what they have, and what they must deliver.

Let me stress, Kyle18fan, that you opinion is fact. Nice post my friend.

Awwww geee

like I said..it is the pot calling the kettle black. If you think a driver with a 10.5 rank in Nascar without a championship in ten years is a badass, so be it. He's murder in the trucks though. No wonder why Hendrick got rid of him.

I been waiting for you to have another one of these "episodes" ......................... I hope it passes quickly, the last one lasted the whole 2014 season

Kyle wins in the truck series and uses the engines he wants to use as far as I know. I seldom discuss contracts and such because I dont have a clue whats going on with that stuff, I pay attention to what Kyle says in public but thats about it. I would be willing to bet that Kyle is happy using the Toyota stuff though, any clown can drive a chevy ;)

That why he had like 2 cup wins in one?

Chevy writes Hendrick a check to make them great. Ford --Roush (How's that working?)...now Penske. Toyota invests in the sport in the form of TRD. TRD wanted to be a support organization for JGR. In effect, JGR would be the Hendrick for Toyota, but JGR had problems, and both logistically and financially, it made sense to have TRD manage the building. TRD is unique in the way it does business with its teams.

Thanks for the explanation. Who made engines for JGR when they ran Pontiac.?

He drives Toyota trucks because Toyota has dumped a ton into KBM.
not so he said that in an interview..had Toyota care plastered on the side of his truck...said they aren't sponsoring him...but he wanted to give back for all the help....kiss kiss...big smootch.

You are young. I can give you $100,000 in sponsorship or your truck and motor free. You pick. One is called sponsorship and raises the ire of lesser funded teams who are not the favored sons, and the other is more confidential. I will let you decide which is which. Honestly, man, I would expect that you would understand that.

Surely you jest my friend. :)

If Nascar drivers are Milk then surely Kyle is the cream. ;):D:D

That's bull**** and you probably know it. Blocks and heads are made in TRD Costa Mesa. Toyota spent a ton because NASCAR gave them the herky jerk on their designs to test their commitment. They passed. Are you listening Dodge?

ah so...not so, in fact when Toyota came in, it cost the others money. They had to redesign their engines

About the same time, Toyota was petitioning to enter NASCAR by starting out in the truck series. Since it had no pushrod V8 upon which to base a race engine, Toyota was given freedom to clean-sheet an engine based on what was already in the garages. Toyota Racing Development (TRD) purchased Ford, Chevy and Dodge race engines and took more than 8,000 measurements. TRD engineers then pushed the dimensions as far as they could negotiate with NASCAR. For example, they asked for 4.550-inch bore centers but were allowed 4.500-inch. Toyota also went with eight cam bearings, front-mounted distributor and 20 head bolts. In the end, Toyota obsoleted all the other engines, so NASCAR allowed clean-sheet designs from the other three. Chevy responded with the R07, Dodge came out with the closed-deck R6P8 and Ford followed with the FR9. All have 4.500-inch bore centers but NASCAR still mandates a 4.185-inch maximum bore to keep cylinder head development and valve sizes in check. However, the wider bore centers allow intricate cooling passages, and cooler engines mean less tape on the front grille.
