Time for a night race @ Darlington before a weeks break.

I've never been to this track but sure hope to make it before they remove it from the schedule.

Everyone know the 'fish pond' story? If you didn't you're about to hear it a dozen or so times from DW this weekend.

I'm putting my money down on rain again this weekend. :p

There's still tickets left.... we're definitely considering it.... live races are like crack, man - addictive!

Why....why would they remove it from the schedule?

I hate how NASCAR keeps f**king with this track. They took away the decades old tradition of the Labor Day weekend Southern 500, moved it to November for a year, then moved it to Mother's Day weekend (which in recent years the track ownership said they liked), and now they've moved it to mid-April to make room for....Kansas? Darlington is a unique, old school track that deserves better treatment than what it gets. It's not owned by Bruton or ISC, so I guess that's a lot of it.

If JGR can't make some real noise at Darlington than they've got some real problems.

I love The Lady in Black --- I've only made it once, but I treasure the memory. :)
During practice for the Busch race, BigE was on DaleJr's case about the entry into pit road --- he was on his butt, hard, about the sandy, slick entry.
During the Busch race, Jr had no problems.
During the Cup race, Daddy managed to spin entering pit road. When he got it straightened out, this
sheepish little "sorry, guys" came over the radio. I'm sure, somewhere, Jr was laughing his head off.

Finally a Sat night race.... This means a nice Sunday morning watching Nascar..... not checking updates online at work on a Monday.

Darlington is another track on the'to do' list..... one year.

ISC owns it, but it's certainly been hurt by the expansion into other areas throughout the country. The Labor Day race was always better attended than the spring race anyways. It's been set up to fail.

Hopefully it gets rained out until Sunday. :D. Sorry guys, gotta work Saturday night!

Champion already brought the War Wagons and wheels to Darlington...

I'm torn on whether I drive to Perris Auto Speedway to watch The WoO race and DVR Darlington, or watch Darlington live...

Tough call. I phuckin love Darlington.

NASCAR is really pushing that green stuff, aren't they?

Before we know it, they'll be racing electric cars! :D  :p
I think they said something earlier about April being Green Month. I guess we'll have to get used to it for a bit longer.

Nothing says green like 43, 900+ HP cars doing a buck eighty around a super speedway for four hours. :D

Anyone remember when they had to race the track here and not the competitors? How bout' when a 4-tire stop was the only option? It didn't matter how many laps you had on that Darlington set of tires..... A caution comes out you pit for four fresh ones. I miss that Darlington.
