2015 Predictions?

Okay so were a whole week and a half into the long grueling off season.. Had a bit of time to reflect on the 2014 season and it's awesomeness (or lack thereof depending which side of the chase/chase/nochase argument you're on).

Many changes coming for the sport next year. Drivers, teams, crew chiefs, engines, down force, in car track bar adjustments etc.

What are some of your pre-testing/pre-preseason predictions for next season?

Here's a few of mine..

Tony Stewart will either break out and have a great season.. or retire.
Gordon announces retirement at the end of 2016.
Sam Hornish wins at least 1 race in the 9
Trevor Bayne carries the Roush banner
Jimmie's back (1500+ laps led and 5 wins)
Carl Edwards wins at least 4 races for JGR
Penske and HMS teams dominate again.
Kasey Kahne flourishes with a new CC, wins 3 races and makes the final 4
Joey Logano has a new jack man lol
Danica wins something
Stenhouse doesn't
Harvick disappoints.. comparitively
Brad has a disagreement with someone.
A Chevy doesn't win the cup.

4. Well, since he's racing against Biffle and Dillion, it'll be close, but no, I don't think he'll be the leader in Roush's 20th place group.
5. Of course
6. 50/50, won't know till April
7. No, Gibbs will make a comeback and we'll have three superteams
8. No
9. :D
10. lololololol. Maybe she'll win the All-Star race fan vote, as long as Reditt and Josh Wise are far away.
11. No, he wins Danica's heart
12. Probably. The only person that can reproduce 4+ wins in a season consistently (minus 2014) is Johnson.
13. He won't make it past Speedweeks without a run in on or off track
14. Wrong.
 
My Predictions:

1. Johnson rebounds
2. Jr gets no wins, Kahne continues to struggle
3. No Roush cars make the chase
4. JGR rebounds and gets 10+ wins, mostly with Kenseth and Kyle
5. Penske and Hendrick fade in comparison to Gibbs.
6. Larson gets 2+ wins
7. At least 2 Cup races have 42 cars
8. Tracks that held Chase races ride a wave of boosted attendance
9. Less winners next year

Win breakdown
Johnson: 5
Kenseth and Logano: 4
BK, Edwards, Gordon, Harvick, Ky Bu: 3
Gordon, Larson: 2
Bowyer, Stewart, Kahne: 1

You're trolling for some early "Bold Prediction" insights. ;) Speedbowl14 is already on the hook; look at his #3, 4, 6, and 7. See who else will snap at that bait!
 
Rule changes will produce cars with looser set ups, and those who struggled with this year's set ups will make a come back (11, 18, 20, 48, 14, etc.).

Trolling? How about finding something to talk about? lol.. but yeah.. whatever... go away then.. no one wants u here :p lol
 
1. Johnson & Gordo will carry HMS banner - Jr will come back down to earth and Kahne will have respectable yr but nothing spectacular.
2. Roush is at all time low from performance standpoint.
3. Penske won't skip a beat - Ryan Blaney will impress with Wood Bros.
4. SHR is tough to gauge. The 4 team will continue to carry the banner but Tony will come back around. Interested to see what Busch can do with Gibson if he is in the car.
5. Gibbs will be back - but I don't see Edwards with the 1st yr success of Harvick or Kenseth....Maybe 2-3 wins.
 
1. Carl Edwards will win 3-4 races.
2. Roush will go winless.
3. Larson will win 2-3 races.
4. Kenseth will win the Daytona 500.
5. Junior will win just 1 race.
6. Bristol's spring attendance will only be slightly up.
7. Atlanta will only be half full.

You don't think that JGR's four drivers are capable of winning 5 races each? They've all done it before ;)
 
Chances are we'll have another obscure restrictor plate pole winner at the 500 next year considering they're getting rid of single-car qualifying.

Well let's see: Carl's had a 9 win season, Kyle and Denny have both had 8 win seasons, and Matt has had a 7 win season.

32 wins for JGR in 2015! :punkrocke

And with their luck, probably still won't win the championship. :p
 
# 24 team goes thru extensive "this is a flat tire " & " how ta not go a lap down " training durin off season .
does " much more better " in 2015 . :D

Bubba Wallace gets a full time ride with Gibbs in XFinity, wins 2 races, and finishes 3rd in points.

Carl Edwards wins 4 races in his debut season with Gibbs.

Kevin Harvick repeats as Champion.
 
is this sorta like a pre season exhibition thread for dp's annual bold prediction thread for '15 ?
