Wouldn't make a difference to me anyway... I'm a Playstation guy myself... I can't get past the idea of having to pay to play online... I already pay for my internet access.... that's enough for me lol

Well if you do decide to jump to the PS4, bear in mind now you will have to subscribe to PS+ to play most games online. Not all however. There are some free to play/MMOs that don't require PS+. However if you don't already subscribe to PS+ what the hell is wrong with you?
 
The one thing I'm really looking forward to in the new game is the league option. I pretty much only play it when its league night. I hate random lobby's and offline is too easy. I can't wait until its regulated by the game itself.

Lol.. I don't like putting more money into video games than the purchase of the game itself... I have bought some highlights packages and a couple paint schemes... but either way I won't be buying a PS4 for a while... just got my PS3 like 2 years ago lol Im happy with it.

that is fine, but I do recommend PS+. Some times you can find it as low as $29 for the year online. It pays for itself with the free games you get.

I respectfully disagree. As of right now, from a pure profit standpoint, it makes more sense for them to put it on the current gen consoles rather than the next gen ones, as the guy from Eutechnyx explained in the article that Slice posted:

"We took a good, hard look at it, but there just isn't enough hardware out there yet to justify the cost of development," says Martin. "The nail in the coffin was when a guy from Sony talked about Gran Turismo, and how their new game was launching on PS3. He said something like, 'Why would we put Gran Turismo on a console that has zero units in the market when there are 150 million PlayStation 3's out there?' Well, it's a great question. It costs us about $6 million to develop a next-gen version of NASCAR. You have to sell an awful lot of copies in order to meet the development costs, on top of all the licensing. There are about 4-5 million worldwide combined units of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, so it just doesn't add up for us right now. We own the rights, and we absolutely have plans, but it won't be later this year."

Granted, I don't have the raw statistics to back this up, but I'm fairly certain that NASCAR games usually aren't exactly AAA titles in terms of sales, and I highly doubt anyone would rush out and buy a PS4 or an Xbox One just for NASCAR 14, so their reasoning makes sense. I could possibly see them porting it to the next gen consoles eventually, as Square Enix/Crystal Dynamics did with Tomb Raider. They'd probably be better off just starting fresh and making a new game for the new consoles in a year or two, though.

I'm the same way. I'm nuts for Sony products.

I've had all of their consoles but I have gradually given the old ones to relatives. But I'm keeping the PS3 this time. :D

I bought the PS4 like two weeks ago. Amazing machine. Everything is seamless, you could be playing a game one minute and be on Netflix in two seconds. Amazing.

Are you subscribed to PS+? Its crazy how many free games they give you.

I have NBA2K14 that I bought with the PS4 and have downloaded another 5 for free via the Playstation store.

I'll get on later tonight so I'll accept your friend invite then.

I was looking into iracing a couple weeks ago but I don't think my computer can handle it and I know those guys are serious.. plus I've read it's a bad idea to use a controller for that and I would need to fork out another whatever it is for that... Yea, iRacing =/= XBox/Playstation Controller. You're going to have to invest in a wheel and pedal. I started off with a Logitech Momo wheel and pedals and upgraded to Fanatec when I had the money.

Right now I'm saving up for a Sim Racing ****pit.

Oh gods yes! There are so many Online TV stations that streams races on iRacing. They do the whole nine yard, they have commentators, interviewers, pit road guys, etc. It's really well done.

You are correct. 7 cars, 10 tracks with any membership. Option to buy more. It's cheaper to buy in bulk I think it says.

Yea, you get a certain percentage off if you buy a number of cars or tracks in one purchase. I remember when I brought all the short tracks for their Late Model & SK Modified series. :D
 
Dirt to Daytona for the win! :) The most recent gaming system I have is the Wii, but I play PS2 more simply for Dirt to Daytona. 100% more fun and more challenging than than EA Sports.

Both Lego games are great. Tomb Raider is beautiful. Madden is fun. I have played most of the free games, but nothing has sparked my interests with them.

Live from Playstation is crazy on the weekends. I am literally watching two people have sex in their living room right now...

That was a cool game. I liked that you could spin people out. In the EA games you can't do that if your life depends on it.

They are going to end up shutting down that amazing feature because people are being idiots making porno with the live feed.

I'm afraid I missed that bus.

Grid is no longer being offered for free anymore.

I should've download it then cancel it so it can stay on my download list for later.

Still though, the free games for January were equally as awesome. I got Bioshock Infinite, Devil May Cry and Borderlands 2.
 
I really hope third time is the charm , I have both previous titles and have been pretty much a complete disappointment

The whole not generating this game for use on the PS4 or XBOX One issue is a no buy for this family. We invested in the XBOX One and I'm sure as heck not investing money into our previous box. The idea in upgrading our system was to move on with the latest technology.

This statement is 99% true. I do indeed find it funny how people complain about every and I mean EVERY SINGLE THING wrong with the game saying "I'm not going to buy next game cause this company sucks" yet there the first one's in line on release day (This case, February 18th) wanting to get the new NASCAR game so they can complain some more. Quite a clever system in hindsight.

Wrong.

I bought NASCAR The game 2011, didn't like it, said I wouldn't buy their future games and haven't to this day.

That "complain and buy it anyway" saying only works when there are no other options.

There are a plethora of much more superior racing games than any of what these guys have come up with with NASCAR.

I'm more of a sim kind of guy so I like games like Gran Turismo, Forza and so on.

Also Project Cars is an incoming game that is going to be epic.

I'll definitely be getting it... and most likely be complaining.. but I don't care.. I'll enjoy it either way just for the online leaguing .. plus I don't buy it when it first comes out I usually wait a few months until the patches come out for some of the issues we know will exist lol.. then try to buy it used before new. Im cheap like that lol

Nascar: The Game was horrible...Inside Line (last year) was a little better...a group of my buddies all got it and did our own online league..so that made it better...we are all probably gonna grab this one because it has the league built in and makes our life LOTS easier!

They will shut down live from the playroom streaming. Not everything else, because there is just too much of a demand.
