He has Tony's old pit crew. If I'm not mistaken they are his crew, but I get what you're saying.

It's fustration from it constantly happening and those interviews are a way to vent. Harvick has always been on the side of his guys, but after while it wears off. Aggitation, aggrevation, and anguish after so many wins taken away because of his crew. Sometimes you just have to be realistic and tell the truth, even if it is behind closed doors or on camera.
 
Cole Custer.

Screw the people who said JHN. Cole Custer had like a 2 second lead on JHN when he took the white flag. He then proceeds to drive the last lap like a ***** and let JHN make up that time easily because he was so conservative.

You know what the best way to ensure no one can dump you on the last lap while you are leading? Not letting them catch you.
 
Kevin Harvick for once again calling out his crew on national T.V.


They knew how bad they screwed up.... And even though Kevin had every right to be pissed..... The tongue lashing should have been done back at the shop. He done nothing at all to help team work.... These guys respect him even less now. He might as well now go looking for a whole new pit crew one race away from the chase. Granted..... had they been more prepared and executed their job.... he would have more than likely won the race....... but.... Kevin ain't Jesus Christ either..... we have all seen him screw up and never once have I heard his pit crew get in front of the camera and say...... '' The guys at the shop and us pit guys gave him the very best equipment and great pit stops.... but... the driver just dropped the ball today''.........

The 10 team pit crew have been pretty damn solid this year. I wouldn't be surprised if Skippy decides to swap the 10 and 4 pit crews. Unfortunately, they left screws loose on a pit stop last night which caused DP to have to pit during green and lost 2 laps. But other than that they've been very good.

John Hunter Nemechek. I'm all for hard racing and using the chrome horn for a win, but what he did this weekend was pitiful and should be grounds for suspension. If someone at one of my local short tracks pulled a move like that they would be permanently banned from the track for life.

Yep. It takes zero talent to do what he did. It's not anti JHN either. Had the roles been reversed i would say the same about CC.

Great post. Throwing the crew under the bus for a gun failure? He sure has no class. It only takes one pissed off pit crew member on the last pit stop at Homestead to screw up a championship.

23 second place finishes also means Harvick has one great pit crew. SHR needs better equipment and a few spare guns.

I saw something about that finish on ESPN while waiting for tennis to come on this morning. I just watched this video a few minutes ago.



I see an out of control Nemechek slamming Custer across the grass and grinding him against the wall to the finish line. IMO, that isn't racing. That's nonsense. That's a move you pull on a video game against an unfeeling, uncaring AI opponent, not in real life.

And wrecking a fellow competitor to win is about as low as you can get , its one thing to bump and run, its one thing to beat and a bang a bit , but to purposely slam another race car/truck into the wall to aid in getting a win is not racing, thats just flat wrecking.

If either Craven or Busch had shoved the other guy completely off the track and into the wall and then grinded them up against the wall to the finish line, I would see your point. That didn't happen, though.

I agree that wrecking someone is not the best way to win a race . My contention is that JHN came from third place on the restart . He made a clean pass to get to second then ran down the lead car from a long way back . He got to the back bumper and tried the bump and run, but it didn't work . The guy had two choices , back off and settle for second , or hit him harder and go for the win . I think just getting to the back bumper took a lot of talent and I liked that he decided to go for the win . He had the faster truck .

Nope what Tony did in the cup race is dirty and wrecking. How come y'all ain't waving the dirty cheatin flag at him??

Seems to me all he did is lean on him like Newman did to get into the chase. I thought that was what y'all wanted to see, drivers doing what needed to be done. Just remember 8 wheels is better than 4.

He's been calling out his crew for the last 15 years. Nobody has the issues his crews have had because their drivers have enough class to keep it in house and address it internally. Not ol' ***** lips. It's ALWAYS someone else's fault he didn't win.
 
Kyle Busch lost at Homestead 2012 to Cale Gale the same way JHN beat Custer. The fans (including same announcing crew) had no problem with it then, yet now when Jr.'s truck gets beat the same way it's an issue.

Isn't always something a crew member did wrong either. If I remember right isn't that when they decided to change guns with the 10 team? Like maybe they should be prepared with a spare gun ? They are running 4 cars which means there is a chance 1 out of 8 guns could have a problem.

And when you speed or blow through your pit or wreck it sure isn't their fault but nobody is calling his ass out on it when he does it. The biggest issue was an equipment malfunction that cost him about 5 seconds and the majority of those spots.

Hell, he blatantly wrecked the field in Dega to make it into the chase last year and nothing done about it. But that is his way, alligator, yap-yap mouth and canary ass.

Completely agree. Bump and run is all good but that was a bull rush with a little side slam after Custer was in the grass.
 
Chad and his 48 crew for making an illegal body modification. JJ was never able to recover and cost him a decent finish. Chad should know by now the old days are over and big brother is watching

She runs top 10 speeds all the time when she's not in traffic. However, when she gets in traffic and is most of the time a lap down she falls off like a rock due to not wanting to be in a crash or causing one.I now agree that she has to stand up for herself and start being more aggressive This team will continue to finish p20 until they start qualifying better and starting off with a better set-up. Every weekend they miss it on the first run and get in a hole. And yeah, I continue to watch her cuz I don't care for any of the other drivers other than Jr. I keep hoping some of the speed she showed in 2014 is gonna show up but it just isn't happening.

The other side of that coin is that the folks who claim that she wrecks every week are losing all of their bets. She hasn't had many DNF's this year and yes, I'd like to see her be a bit more aggressive but maybe now she knows when not to be aggressive .

Yeah anyone who tries to compare the two finishes got to keep this in mind. ONE they was still on the track. The OTHER one was not still on the track.

Again, as above it was ON THE TRACK! also if you see it wasn't a complete SLAM onto the wall as well. Plus, it was Cup guy being beat so that could be part of it from the fans. It's nothing to do with it being Jr's Truck, had Cole did that I'd say the same crap.



See, where they was on the wall, Cale didn't just body slam him on the wall and they was still you know on the track.
