Is the 6 to 12 year old NASCAR bandalero league still around at Charlotte?
http://www.cruden.com/Anyone know what "The Simulator" we keep hearing about is? I've heard JR is using it in his recovery, other driver was using it to learn the line at New Hampshire. Is it just an IRacing rig or some proprietary program?

The best of these things can be programed for every track and set up to mimic a full race simulation that includes all the chassis and aero load data derived from an 8 post shaker rig.
More than useful and very expensive.
Wait for next fall. The dealer will mark them down as low as $72,500, and give you $200 trade-in for NASCAR Heat Evolution. Thanks Aunty. Only $73,000? I know what I'm getting for Christmas!
Apparently a bit more than IRacing.
Hindsight is 20/22...Declining to pick up the phone and call #20-Matt Kenseth last year may have cost #22-Joey Logano a championship, he now believes.
Ya think!

Boy, it didn't get any more politically incorrect than that. Nice variety of roll cages, or the lack thereof.Martinsville Old School.....
The NASCAR Convertible Series raced 4 times at Martinsville between 1956-1959.
Remind me, wasn't this stuff Jr's idea? Maybe he came up with it after he received the concussion but before it was diagnosed?Oh Sh!t, looks like Martinsville is getting the VHT treatment...

I don't see where it can hurt the racing @ Martinsville. If it works, we'll get plenty of side by side racing lap after lap on the best track on the schedule. If it doesn't work we'll still have awesome racing on the best track on the schedule. Sounds like a win win too me.Oh Sh!t, looks like Martinsville is getting the VHT treatment...

I recall from the Bristol conversation that the idea was attributed to a driver. I thought it was Jr., but maybe I have that incorrect. The first that I've heard this.
Martinsville Speedway won’t make changes to track surface after test session
"After trying a suggestion from a NASCAR Sprint Cup champion, Martinsville Speedway won’t make any changes to its track surface for its Chase race later this month, track and series officials told NBC Sports on Thursday...." (NBC Sports, more here.)
Harvick, that's who it was. He doesn't even have a concussion for an excuse.Sorry Harvick
Maybe with the money they saved from not changing the track, they could use it to install lights.Martinsville Speedway won’t make changes to track surface after test session

I'd say hot picRandom pic I came across. Cool pic of Jimmy Spencer...
Somebody should have told Jimmy it's easier to heat those TV dinners up in the oven.Random pic I came across. Cool pic of Jimmy Spencer...
That's from 2009.

I hope he remembered to peel back the foil to expose the tater tots.Probably was mad at someone and his temper flared.
We all know Spencer was a hot-head.
I just checked both FB and Twitter for the speedway --- no recent posts. Guess everyone is hunkered down. TheyI was questioning that also. But he posted it like it was now.
