We all know he's locked in with Penske on the 7 year (or whatever the # is) deal...

The problem is Penske may not be able or want to expand back to 3 FT teams with full funding. I believe they will resign Brad K and continue with Joey leaving Blaney on the outs. Given his performance this year and over the course of his young career already, I think he's a prime candidate to be poached by either HMS, SHR or even maybe JGR or Rousch on a top-tier driver contract.

Let's discuss Ryan Blaney's future...

3 wide, what about the 21 car which is basically a full fledged Penske car is not good enough to compete in??? Why would he go to any of those teams when he is consistently outrunning multiple cars of each stable? All season he has been outrunning 11,20,19,41,10,5,88,6,17,RCR.

Let's hope not...... Kes needs to stay where he is.......
I agree 100%, but I'm kinda surprised that the soon to be open spot at HMS, Keslowski's past with HMS, and no new contract at Penske hasn't generated any rumors or discussion. It's at least interesting to think about.

All that said, Keslowski in the 2 just feels right.

I imagine him ending up with a top tier team like HMS... I think his stock is getting higher every couple weeks, if he keeps this trend rolling showing how talented he is, is stock will be so high that he will wait until one of the couple top tier teams make him an offer.

Nascar is already in the middle of multiple driver changes. There are quite a few more in the recent future to go and they aren't all front runners either.

He is. I just look at HMS or JGR as being a team which most any of the drivers would hold out and wait for... those are the two I would consider top tier, slightly ahead of Penske.

Stop pre meditating your opinions. PENSKE has won 3 races this year to 2 for Jimmie and 0 for JGR.. Scored more top 5s top 10s then all four of the HMS and JGR cars. They are not a slightly behind, they have consistently been as strong or out run HMS and JGR since they switched back to Ford in 2013.

He's doing well in the 21 right now though. Dont really see him moving to Penske yet. I could see Penske going to 3 cars if Menard is a free agent next year and signs with them. Unless someone like Bubba Wallace, Chris Buscher or Ryan Reed is going to move to the 21 soon I dont see him leaving that seat for Penske.

I'll pre meditate them if I want. You can't stop me. Who cares about a season that's 3 months old... who's got more championships in the cup series the last 10 years? Honestly, you would choose the team that has earned one title?

JGR is a dumpster fire this year. 1 driver in the top 10. Ganassi has both, Hendrick 2, , SHR 2 Furniture Row 1 and Penske both are all doing better, take your pick

Everyone said the cavs were garbage in regular season too... check the scores on how that shook out... its been three months. I firmly believe most of these teams are not concerned with where they are at this point. Yes, they see they need to find speed, but it's also known if most of those drivers get one single win, bam! Playoff bound and then they just worry about doing enough to advance each round. Homestead is all that matters now. Like it or not.

Yes, yes I would. I would choose Roger Penske over Rick Hendrick and Joe Gibbs. I would choose Ford Motor company over GM and Toyota. I would choose the team that gave me my big break in the first place over others. (See Kyle Larson). Especially when I am outrunning them.

Keslowski to the 88. Blaney to the 2.
Kes got burned a little on the Mark Martin retirement from HMS deal, I think that would put him off. Plus I don't think HMS is in the market for a driver that expresses an opinion on as many things as Kes does, he delves into areas that may be sponsor sensitive.

I think the smaller teams on the end of a technical alliance often have the best of both worlds. The equipment from the teams but the flexibility of a single or two car stable.

Kurt Busch really excelled at Furniture Row so has Truex. Blaney doing same with the 21. I'd like to see him stay in the 21 and maintain their current deal with Penske.

That's cool if you like that. I'd go where the most trophies are sitting at from the last decade. I'd rather put my career in the hands of people who are used to seeing another trophy or another championship brought into the race shop on a regular basis. Penske is a fantastic operation and have done so much in their own right but rick Hendrick has got to be where people would want to end up if they had their choice...

Blaney has really come into his own this season. Unless his cars cant stay together or his pitcrew keeps sucking ass I dont see him leaving anytime soon. That #21 WoodBros being competitive is too prestigious.

I kind of wish that the 43 would enter into a similar alliance so we can get the 43 running up front again.

I 100% am a Hendricks fan, and support chevy 110%, all I've ever drove all I ever will drive.

But Hendricks is not #1 right now. Johnson is carrying the banner for the team, and that's just because knaus is a genius. If I was ryan Blaney I'd try to stay as tight as I could with Penske right now.

I'm a Blaney fan and 21 fan, so I prefer he stay put. But who knows? Not convinced there is any clear advantage changing to a multi-car premier team, unless the money flow to the Woods Brothers is in danger.

Performance not the issue with 21 car...Long term funding and a top tier driver contract with all the marketing opportunities is where Wood Bros might fall short IMO
I'd be surprised if Penske's organization isn't working in those areas.

Correction, The 48 team is where all the trophies are at. In the last decade the 48 has 6 titles, other HMS have 0. Shr has two titles and JGR and Penske have 1 each. So unless your Jimmie and Chad your not any better off than any other organization as far as I'm concerned.

To be honest, I think Penske > HMS right now.

I really don't see what's wrong with the ride he's in now. Jeremy Bullins is more than capable of a crew chief, the Wood Brothers are a well known team, I feel like they can attract enough sponsorship with how well they're running and how marketable Blaney is.
