See any good movies lately?

Just curious - if Ares / Sir Patrick Morgan was Wonder Womans half brother,
did they have the same mother or father .... or ..... does all that come
out in the sequels? And why didn't someone tell Wonder Woman?

That's all covered in the first act of the movie. Zeus was Ares' father, and Diana was carved in stone by Hippolyta and brought to life by Zeus. Hippolyta tells Diana about her origins and about the gods. Hippolyta doesn't want Diana to train (initially) and doesn't want her to know she's the "godkiller" because, if Diana found out, Ares would find her sooner.

I saw The Fate Of The Furious last weekend because the girl I had been dating wanted to see it. She has a man thing for Vin Diesel. I have never seen any of the others but she would fill me in on the history as something came up throughout the movie. It was pretty good if completely stupid in some ways.

Watching Lone Survivor now. This is a difficult film to watch. I wish it were fictional.
I understand that completely, Bobby. I thought it was a really good movie but it sucked to think about it as if really happened, in some ways

Another one to keep an eye out for this summer:

Bruce McLaren is buried ten minutes from my house. I knew this however had never actually visited his grave site.
I was passing the cemetery today and took this pic an hour ago.

Before the Devil Knows You're Dead

All time classic for me.

Listen to this song and tell me it doesn't string your heart.

Great P.S. Hoffman movie. Also, The Shallows was mentioned, and I did enjoy the heck out of that one. As far as what I've seen lately, Alien: Covenant, meh, it was so so. The Founder with Michael Keaton, now that's the best movie I've seen in a long time. I'm not particularly known for digging many docudramas . Definitely check that out.

Thought for sure that The Shallows was going to be some cheesy shark flick, but it turned out to be quite good. Two thumbs up from me.

I don't normally do horror movies in theaters and remakes usually suck, but this looks damn good.

I'll be curious how it stacks up against the 1990 movie. Tim Curry is the reason an entire generation is scared of clowns. :lol2:

Actually John Wayne Gacy is the main reason why clowns creep me out

Watched CHIPS , I liked it, the plot was a little bit thin, but overall it wasnt as bad as I thought it was going to be, and it really is not trying to pay homage to the TV Series, its just borrowing the name and some character names.

You definitely have to have a taste for lowbrow humor to enjoy it, but I thought it was funny. Much better than the Baywatch reboot IMO.

Wonder Woman.

Totally lame. Movie was too long for it's own good.

Very slow movie, too much talking and the little action sprinkled throughout the movie was rather weak and uninteresting.

The best part of the movie was the beginning where all the amazons kicked ass.

It's called character development, something Zack Snyder's Superman movies and that crappy Suicide Squad movie lacked.

crappy Suicide Squad movie
Don't you talk bad about that movie. The only bad thing about that movie was Viola Davis's acting. She's terrible in my opinion. Besides my wife calls me puddin.

That movie is pure ****. Only movie I started watching and turned off before it was over.

Wonder Woman is the only DCEU movie that's been any good. Man of Steel was awful, Batman vs Superman was a disaster and Suicide Squad sucked. And now, their new "go to" script for anything with Superman is "Superman loses".

Wonder Woman wasn't enough to make me want to go see Justice League though. And now it's looking like The Flash is gonna be a **** movie too -- because The CW show is actually good, they have to go **** **** up.

Yeah, I think the lowbrow humor is being overused, and it was in this for sure, but that was done on purpose, the budget was cut in half, so it was going to be a PG13 action flick with a lot of explosions, but they decided to make it R and raunchy.

I am in no rush to see Baywatch.

I just got done watching We Are Still Here on Netflix. I highly recommend this movie if you love haunted house movies like I do.

Hey Suicide Squad is awesome

Saw Spiderman Homecoming and loved it. Despite not seeing many marvel movies other then Dr. Strange and the first iron man.

Right now I'm watching a documentary on Netflix called American Anarchist. Basically a long interview with the author of the Anarchist Cookbook. The guys listing all the crimes to the author (who died last year and had renounced the book for over 30 years) that he didn't know it was tied to. So I can see why he died of a heart attack shortly before the documentary debuted.

Watched "Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping", it was a lot funnier than I thought it would be. It's basically a boy band version of This Is Spinal Tap.

No, it's not. That movie was pure ****. Only thing worth watching in it is Margot Robbie. I didn't even finish it.

The Marvel MCU movies are way better than the DCEU movies -- sans Wonder Woman.

I was gonna wait for the DVD for Spider-Man Homecoming but I've heard good things and might have to watch it next time I go to the city.
