correct, I was afraid I'd killed the thread, most of mine just require digging into racing reference a little.

Fear not kkfan, the tough questions will keep the fad fans at bay and let the real fans carry on.

Question, 2 part (no whining).

Who was the 1966 rookie of the year and what was his final position in the points standings?

James Hylton and 2nd in points

How many Cup rookies of the year have 0 career wins?

Ok kk, I waited a week, to see if anyone else wanted to answer.
1954. Blackie Pitt
* 57. Ken Rush
61. Woody Wilson
62. Tom Cox
64. Doug Cooper
70. Bill Dennis
71. Walter Ballard
72. Larry Smith
75. Bruce Hill
76. Skip Manning
78. Ronnie Thomas
88. Ken Bouchard
90 Rob Moroso
92. Jimmy Hnsley
97. Mike Skinner
98. Kenny Irwin
2010. Kevin Conway

There is a cup driver, whose first race in a full size car, was a powder puff race. Name the driver and the track this occured at.

I'm not sure what a powder puff race is?

A race with only women drivers.

Michael Waltrip in drag, somewhere in the backwoods of Kentucky ?

Good guess, but wrong, at least not doncumented.

Hint: It is a driver out of the northeast.

Here is the answer:
Geoff Bodine, Chemung Speeddrome, Chemung, NY. He did it because his parents (builders and owners of the track) did not want hm to race full size cars.

For those of you that don't know of Geoff, he is the older brother of pace car driver Brett Bodine.
A few stats: Cup; 575 starts, 18 w's, 100 T 5's, 190 T 10's. Best points finish, 3rd in 1990. Avg start pos, 14., avg finish 18.6.

Guiness book of world records: 1978, most wins in 1 season by driver, 55 w's in 84 starts. In a modified.

Geoff, Bob Cuneo of Chassis Dynamics and Whelen Engineering, designed and manufacture the Bo-Dyn bobsleds for the U S olympic teams.
The sleds are provided to the teams at no charge.

There's you a little trivia on Geoff.

Don't forget, he survived the worst truck wreck ever at Daytona. I was there, felt the heat off the flame. How he survived is purely by the grace of God.

Yeah & he also won the infamous Earnhardt/Rudd SOB race in 1989 that ultimately cost Sr that seasons championship...

So someone should come up with a question

Ok, here is an easy question. What Nascar driver in "1989" did a Cannonball Run in morning rush hour traffic from Hendrick "Pontiac" on East Independence Boulevard in Charlotte to the WRFX studios uptown on East Fourth Street.

Besides Richard Petty who has the longest sponsor driver pair? Paul Menard, 1999 to 2016.

GAME RULES.

Rules: Questions can only be on Nascar Cup racing. The person that lists the question must confirm the answer of the person quessing correctly before that person lists his question. I will list the first question and make it an easy one.

Added clarifications:
A person has the privilege of asking a Trivia Question only after they correctly guess the answer of the previous question AND after the answer has been confirmed by the person that asked the question.
People have 3 days to post a question after they correctly guess the previous question and after their answer has been confirmed by the person that asked it. There is also a 3 day time limit to confirm answers to a question.
All questions are to be associated with Nascar Cup racing. The object of the Trivia is to have fun and learn some interesting facts......and not to post questions that are next to impossible to answer. Common sense and politeness is also nice to use while playing the Trivia.

What was unusual about Wendell Scott's win at the 1963 Jacksonville 200?

As I recall from reading about it somewhere, NASCAR initially awarded the victory to second place finisher Buck Baker and after later correcting it, blamed the mistake on a "scoring error" whereas it's generally believed that the NASCAR "powers that be" at the time didn't want a black guy in Victory Lane.

That is correct, your turn.

There is at least one sporting venue that has hosted a points paying NASCAR Cup race and an NFL regular season game.

Name it.

Hint: The two events didn't happen in the same year.

Soldier field. ..

Correct.

In a race won by Fireball Roberts, Soldier Field in Chicago hosted it's one and only Cup race on July 21, 1956.

The Chicago Bears at that time played their home games at Wrigley Field (home of the Cubs).

The Bears began playing their home games at Soldier Field beginning with the 1971 season and, with the exception of 2002 when the place was being rebuilt, have played their home games their ever since.

Your turn to ask a question, @DRS3.
