NBA 2017-2018

What sucks is that eventually during LeBron's stay we'll get another Lakers/Celtics Finals, which is absolutely the NBA's wet dream, but personally has the potential to drive me off a cliff.

This is damn-near erotic literature.

I think they'll have to give up two current players if they want Kawhi ASAP. I don't know if they have any other teams' picks, but considering how good they'll be their own picks will be pretty useless in the short-term.

I’d rather hold out. Lakers have leverage to be even more patient now.

:lol2:

The Lakers are a completely different team now than they were when Kobe and Shaq were there, so I don't hate them anymore. I do like Magic Johnson, though I have no idea how effective he has been in the front office. It'll be interesting to see how Lonzo, LeBron, and Kawhi coexist.

Man, it's gonna be weird seeing LeBron in a Laker uniform.

They definitely do. I guess it just comes down to how large of a window LA want with LeBron and Kawhi together or if there's a team out there that thinks they can trade for Kawhi and convince him to stay in one year like OKC did with Paul George.

Lakeshow also re-signed KCP, signed Lance Stephenson, and signed Javale Fuggin McGee today. The meme team. Crazy.

Lebron has a high propensity to choke to west coast teams.

That never changes. He'll have a harder time getting out of his own conference. No more cakewalks to the Finals.

Lakers are going to sign him next year and we will lose no assets :D

Careful what you wish for. Kewhi will quit on you in 2 seconds flat if he doesn't get his way.

He's threatening to sit out next year if Spurs dont trade him. I hope he does. That saves the Spurs the 19 millions this pos would be getting otherwise.

All kinds of people hit the market next year. Kawhi isn’t the end all-be all anyways.

Kirk Shelmerdine was on the World Series of Poker when the news broke. Gotta love r/NASCAR. Lmfao

Why? That rivalry would be great for the NBA, it was totally awesome back in the 80s. If the Celts and Lakers we're on on a Sunday back then you postponed any plans you had and we're glued to the TV. It was must watch basketball, Bird vs Magic. LeBron vs Kyrie... I'll watch for sure, and it will be the NBAs wet dream matchup.

Lame ass Leonard got traded to Siberia. :XXROFL:

Kidding. To The Raptors. We got DeRozan, a random player and Raptor's first round pick.

Stephen Smith going raw on the little weasel.

Spurs beat that ass.

Great trade for the Spurs. Not sure what Toronto was thinking.

I do feel sorry for DeMar DeRozan, not because he got traded, but because the Raptors apparently lied to him and said he wasn't going to be traded, and he actually wanted to stay in Toronto. The Raptors may prove me wrong later, but trading an All-Star caliber player who wants to play for your team for another All-Star caliber player who doesn't want to play for your team just seems like a huge unnecessary risk. DeMar's upset now, and I understand his frustration, but I think he'll thrive under Pop and in that organization. He'll be aight.

As for Kawhi, the whole thing with him confused me from the beginning. Who in their right mind wouldn't want to play for Pop and the Spurs? He's also acted like a big baby about the whole situation, judging from the few stories I've read about it. Like, you generally don't get to choose where you go in the NBA unless you're a free agent, big fella. Deal with it.

I hate LA, and Boston. :)

Kawhi is a huge bitch, I've never seen anyone go from hero to zero this quickly.

I dont know why anyone would trade for him when its obvious he wants to be in LA
I think Toronto are hoping they can do what OKC did with Paul George and over the course of the season convince him to commit long-term, but Kawhi (or his posse) seem absolutely hell-bent, adamant on him being in LA so I don't see it panning out either. Either way, Toronto probably would've had to rebuild after the next few years. They weren't getting it done, and with Boston and Philly poised to control the East for quite some time this is their last-gasp effort to do something big.

Feel bad for Demar but as a Laker fan, I am still high as ****.

MANUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU FOR TRES!

I'll miss him. No more Duncan, Manu or Parker. The Spurs are a completely new team. The end of an era finally concludes with Manu's retirement.

Hard times ahead.

Lakers finally up to .500, winning 4 of the last 5

Melo has been so horrible for so long, and now the Rockets are about to dump him even though he's only playing for minimum salary.
