More Short Tracks

Maybe Truex could win a short track race with more on the schedule.

Maybe tonight's race will keep people from bitching for "the old Bristol" for awhile.
Said it in the race thread, but without the VHT this place is still “new bristol”. This track needs the bottom lane to be fast for it to be exciting.

If it stays like this and the VHT is always used without being washed away, I’m game. Hella fun.

Indianapolis Raceway Park, Kern County, South Boston, Myrtle Beach, Nashville, Knoxville, Toledo, New Smyrna, Five Flags.

I agree though Iowa isn't really a short track. I'd like to see Nashville on the schedule for sure. A lot of those tracks cover the same market.

If xfinity can race at Iowa, why can’t the cup series?
I would like to see at least one Cup race at Iowa, but I do think it will be much like Richmond in terms of the racing action.

I think Richmond’s second date would be a better race if it was pushed to later in the season.

I’ll get called an idiot but here goes: trade one Kansas date, Texas, Vegas and New Hampshire for: Wilkesboro, Rock, Nashville Fairgrounds, South Boston and Iowa. It needs to happen, all over social media it’s buzzing right now how awesome tonight was, the sport needs to go back to these places because these tracks suite it the best. Forget your talk about aero packages, sponsorships, and attendance woes. I’d take a gamble going back to places like these, tonight was so cool. Capitalize on it

North Wilkesboro and Rockingham are not NASCAR ready at all, unfortunately. Texas, Vegas, Kansas could all stand to lose a race. Even the Charlotte Roval for a real road course.

Neither are any of the other short tracks being mentioned.and they have time, the schedule won’t change until 2020 anyways. Shouldn’t that be enough time to make it ready?

North Wilkesboro is barely a race track at this point, while I would love for NW to come back, its never gonna happen, its time, as that bitch from Frozen says, let it go.

It’s not ready now.....but what if it had until 2020 when the schedule might under go a change? Couldn’t almost two years make it ready?

The Bruton Smith and France politics are ruining the schedule. We'll see if anything actually changes.

I really wish they had left Bristol alone before grinding the top of the track...I don't think they gave the new surface enough time before messing with it.

Are we talking logically or fan fiction ?

All this talk is crazy. It needs to be a track owned by them French people, otherwise it ain't a la premiere enough for Nascar.

I thought the schedule contracts are up in 2020, so everything might be renegotiated You’ve posted with me, you know I don’t deal with fan fiction
