Knew I had'em, just foolishly put off surgery. My left eye will be getting sliced and diced next Monday. My right eye the following week. I've talked with family, friends and others on forums that have had the surgery. Researched on the innertube and in speaking with the doc I now wonder why I've delayed this for so long?

Happy to hear you're getting the surgery. I've had both eyes done and it's a piece of cake. Just follow the instructions to the letter about the medications and you'll be fine.

Had both eyes done three years ago and it is easy-peasy. No pain, no strain. Good to know you are goferit. Now you see things you wish you didn't and if you're lucky, she your glad you did! :D

Doc had a ''personal'' issue and my surgery was cancelled. They'll contact me with the new date.
What the ???
This is a group of a dozen docs and no one could take over?
I've contacted another group, one that I have some experience with, eye exams, glaucoma checks, and waiting to hear back. Insurance might not pay for a second full blown exam prior to surgery so I might have to wait until January.,..,suks

Oh, crap, Bob. That's a bummer. Maybe it's for the best. After I had my first surgery, my surgeon was arrested for drug possession --- they only found out about it because he tried to climb a telephone pole in his car.

Oh geez! Thank God your surgery went well.

We're at the 'keep an eye on it' with my cataracts. Checkups every 6 mons.

My last exam about 3 years ago she mentioned i was starting down that road. Does cataract surgery include a vision enhancement similar to Lasik? i need to do some research.

OK...appears not any actual vision improvement other than reducing /removing cloudiness. so...

That's the time to get it done if you want it done. My doctor will do the vision when she does the cataracts.

P.S. You can't get Lasik before removing the cataracts.

Pure speculation maybe he is a druggie, or a drunk? :idunno: I've called twice and each time been told ''sorry for the inconvenience'' but no reason as to why the surgery was canceled.
btw, there's 16 ophthalmologists, 4 optometrists, and 98 staff at 6 locations, not a small ''mom and pop'' operation. Why another doc can't takeover for the guy I saw is a ???
