Super Bowl Game Thread

I just want to take a moment of silence to sympathize wlth all of the Brady haters.
(Cause silence is about all they has)

The GOAT

He is far and away the greatest and I still root against him nearly every time. Though I'm fairly ambivalent about the result today, because I can't get behind the Rams.

Now that I'm 40, I'm more in awe of Brady than ever, because he's doing what he's doing and he's older than me. I don't want him to ever retire. I want to be rooting against him in the Super Bowl when I'm 50 too.

The Patriots are kinda like Jimmie Johnson to me. I rooted against him early on too, but later on I learned to appreciate the history I was witnessing. Same thing with the Patriots.

LOL at Romo's crack about his mic not working.

The crowd actually seems fairly involved in the game.

I'm sure the league and CBS are sweating the lack of scoring, but I agree, this is an intriguing battle that could break wide open at any point.

The NFL is a bit like the NBA of the '90s and' 00s, in which the regular season and playoffs were so radically different, and there is so much more emphasis on defense in the postseason. At least until the 4th quarter when most games seem to get crazy.

Patriots-Panthers in Super Bowl XXXVIII was scoreless in the 1st quarter too, and that one ended 32-29. It could blow open at any time.

The Patriots got away with quite a bit of early, not incidental contact on that one.

I think this is actually the fifth scoreless first quarter in a Pats Super Bowl. They usually start slow.

Don’t buy that he could have woken up and “it didnt feel right” It’s the super bowl, TO played in one on a broken leg
