RACE thread --- Duels from Daytona

There's no way JJ intentionally wrecking Busch. I don't believe that for a second. That's a dangerous narrative to start playing with imo. With that said, something seems to be going on with JJ. He better be 100% mentally engaged.

Theres so much that manipulates these cars when they get near each other’s quarter panels with this package and it’s obvious that the #48 car has a setup that exaggerates it and JJ has no counter.
This is what I've been thinking. Seems the most plausible.

Good race to dvr and then watch in FF.

I'm guessing he didn't know there was a car outside of Kyle. On the radio JJ's spotter was sayin outside, TWO TWO and then he spun Kyle.

Kligerman has a pretty solid car! He hung tough in the middle with no help for a good while.

They went for more speed over handling.
I just don’t get how they haven’t managed to adjust yet. It’s night and day between qualifying and race almost every time. And Ford’s string of dominance on these tracks is almost unprecedented. You’d expect the gap to close quicker than it has.

I agree, my comment was for this plate race, it was mentioned on Sunday like for HMS they chose to sacrifice some handling for more speed, we dont know if they have improved on the none plate tracks yet

Idk about the HMS guys as a whole but Byron mostly looked fine to me, he's definitely fast as hell. We'll see what Chase does, he doesn't seem to handle bad at these places ever since his self spin in his first 500.
