NASCAR Pick 'Em 2019 - Phoenix #1

Yeah, there’s nothing wrong with using an A driver early if you’re confident he will get the finish. A win, top three or top five finish counts as many points in March as in October.

I think it’s a slightly bigger risk early on though - as late in the season, the top playoff drivers tend to dominate those races and in the Spring there is more parity, it seems. But it’s never really a risk to run Harvick or Kyle at ISM.

Last year was actually the exact opposite. It was the Harvick, Busch & Truex show early in the season there were like 6 different winners by like 20 races.

Harvick was a disappointment today. Not a deathblow, but I'm gonna say a loss of 6-8 spots.

Fwiw I got absolutely gut punched in every game today, this was my best result. o_O

I just hope Blaney lets me lead even if only for a week.

@Team Penske had his wish come true when Ryan Blaney finished third in the TicketGaurdian 500 at ISM Raceway in Phoenix, thereby enabling him to vault past @Head423 into first place in the standings.

Congrats to @Clutch, who took the "Highest Finishing Pick" award for the second week in a row when his driver pick, Kyle Busch, won the race to complete the weekend sweep at Phoenix. Drivers picked by @Clutch have had a top five finish in each of the last three races.

Congrats also to @REBS31 as he had the most upward movement in the standings this week by moving up 11 spots into the top ten.

Finally, @dirtfan and @Fordracing7 were each awarded the "Wiping Up the Rear" award when their pick, Michael McDowell, finished dead last for the second time this year.

Thanks Blaney for keeping it close. Can't get any better than top of the heap
so maybe I should retire now. It will be downhill from here on out. :D

Shocking the 95 team had mechanical issues that cost them a good finish. Same **** different year for them. At least I won't have to pick them again this year

In the top 3 I'm like the rose between two thorns. :D Actually I feel an association to both...I have a Canadian passport like Penske Pete and reside in Alpharetta, Georgia near my neighbour @Blaze
