2019 Gander Outdoors Truck Series Thread

KB’s tough love must have worked. Todd on the pole, that washed up has been Biffle starting 6th ;)

Biff should be involved with NASCAR to some extent IMO. One of the smartest guys I have seen behind the wheel, I hope someone gets him back driving in the truck series to some extent. Hell, give him the rest of Decker's races.

it hasn't been easy for the Kyle. His backers are probably turning up the heat. He's family but. He got beat with a multi truck team by a single truck outfit, his best driver Gragson bailed, and this year he is getting smoked

Surprised Kyle hasn't pulled a James Finch and fired them for not winning practice

Meanwhile, I am inclined to agree with Matt Weaver's take here...it would be very unfortunate, and probably misguided, for NASCAR to fail to capitalize on a potentially great story because of some red tape when they've shown time and time again their own rules often aren't written in stone.

There we go, the day has come. Chandler Smith will become the first driver younger than me in a NASCAR national series race.
Lessard will be in the #17 instead of Ankrum.
Joe Nemechek seems to be a full-time S&P now.
Never heard of Massey and Goss before. Goss is a short track racer from Wisconsin who has given up his Job to pursue in NASCAR. He will drive a former Mike Harmon truck.

Isn't Ankrum eligible for the playoffs with a win? Confused why he's not running..

I remember the day I realized my NASCAR dreams were over was when Trevor Bayne who is younger then me won the 500

On a schedule note; what an awful schedule for the weekend. Saturday night the trucks go head to head with the World of Outlaw race a short drive away in Knoxville and then a very late race Sunday afternoon Xfinity race makes it about pretty hard to justify going if you have to travel to far.

Apparently out of money.
It's a shame. The guy who was running Top 10 on a regular basis gets released and Natalie Decker who's been doing nothing but tearing up good racecars keeps her ride.
Gues who'll drive for DGR at Chicagoland? Dylan Lupton.

Think you've posted that before. Thanks for reminding me though.
(And Lou Goss disagrees with you, I think.:))

They were talking about Biffle not being eligible to race in the contest. Said they were one day late in registering, and Gander who is the Season Sponsor was hinting about letting him race and probably sponsoring him. Personally what a blunder Nascar made. The fans were overwhelmingly wanting that to happen, and I'll never figure out why they couldn't make an exception for the 51 truck, a truck that has been a staple in the truck series. Freakin truck boneheads of the year.

I'm a huge fan of starting late being on the west coast, but Gateway is starting at 10 PM ET? Seems very late. I'm sure there's soccer or something.

31 trucks entered for Gateway, Norm in the 6 should be added to make it 32.

- Anthony Alfredo in the 17
- Kyle Benjamin back in the 45, Ross in the 44
- Chandler Smith in the 46 running the ARCA/Truck double
- Christian Eckes in the 51 also running ARCA/Truck double
- Lou Goss debuts in the 74 former Harmon truck I believe
- Tyler Ankrum returns to park for NEMCO to keep his waiver alive it looks like
- Jesse Little back in the 97

#1 truck entered by Beaver Motorsports, but a driver isn't entered yet. The #13 truck hasn't designated a driver after Sauter was suspended. If they want to be in the owner's championship they have to find a driver for the race.

U.S. men Gold Cup match. Might need another cup for this one. Green flag isn’t until 10:10 out here.

Yeah I seen that. NASCAR needs to stop being stupid and run with a promotional opportunity when they have it.

I don't understand these entry lists having to be put in weeks in advance anymore either. It's not like any series are really sending guys home.

In addition, with the Triple Truck Challenge & Dash4Cash.......... Why in gods green earth did the Cup Series do away with money challenges? The Winston bonuses brought a lot of attention...

How can Biffle win the first leg of the challenge and not be eligible for the next 2 races? So basically the promotion is pointless because the only guy that could’ve won the triple isn’t allowed to run for it

Post entry or something like that somebody else can give the official reason. Somebody needs to be let go for this nonsense.

Marcus Lemonis is going on Twitter about it, I mean come on.

It's simple -- it's in the Rules.

Biff is making noise like a big baby when he's old enough to be a Grandad to some Truck Series drivers. It's not a good look.

So they’ve designed a winner take all challenge that literally none of the drivers are eligible for. One of many reasons the long running Halloween contest of fans disguising themselves as empty seats continues

I'm sorry, but the series needs names like Biffle so some of these young guys can prove themselves. Dude was out of a stock car for over 2 years and a Truck for over 15 years anyway.

I understand the rules, but NASCAR is shooting themselves in the foot not having Biffle going for 2/3 or 3/3 as a storyline if you ask me.

Especially since the series sponsor has asked Biffle twice who was going to be his sponsor and has made it made known he thought it would be cool to have Biffle in his 3 race program. And with Nascar's snooping around on the net it's apparent the overwhelming majority of fandom wanted to see it happen.
