Cup RACE thread --- Martinsville, Rd. 2

Oh well. Don’t have to worry about Homestead anymore for the 9 team.

Wow, really tough break for Chase, not sure his luck could get any worse.

Chase gonna have to win Phoenix to get to the Final Four

NBC giving us a Jr cam? Is this a first during the broadcast

Does the driver bear some responsibility for a snapped axle? In gear and over revved before the tires are on the ground?
Yep. I have seen more drive shafts, u joints and broken rear end gears and axles in trucks break because the driver got the wheels spinning and then when they hit dry pavement they snap.

Bonehead Of The Week new front runner, #14 pitcrew.

Martinsville is the worst place to get a flat under green, not counting the bonehead

You act like he’s got no chance at Phoenix or Texas.

Chase has been especially fast at Phoenix recently.

Of course he has a chance. But they have to beat the Toyotas at two highly aero dependent racetracks where Chevy has been lacking.

This weekend was their best shot. Just bad juju with parts failures.

Stalling it always seemed to be the Driver sin to avoid.
It's a fine line between to much or to low of rpm vs how fast or slow you let the clutch pedal out. If you have to low of rpm and let the clutch pedal out to fast you can stall...but if you have to much rpm and let the clutch pedal out to fast you can spin. The trick is getting it perfect so the clutch slips just enough to move you forward with out spinning the tires.

I understand your point --

but staring in disbelief at the FoxSports Screen for the Truck Finale is burned in my memory.
Yeah, no disagreement from me, they deserve it .
