2019 Gander Outdoors Truck Series Thread

I hope he can find something as well next season, but who knows what might happen with the GMS Xfinity program? Its a possibility it might shutter, but nothing is official yet. I'd like to see him in the 2 as well, but I doubt Fire Alarm is going to cover many races.

I'd hate to see him go back to trucks, he's performed well with what he has had this season. I just don't think GMS did enough in terms of providing equipment competitive enough for wins.

Agreed. I’m still a big believer in JHN’s talent. GMS bit off more than they can chew with running Xfinity and Trucks. Neither program has a ton of outside sponsorship. The Xfinity team hasn’t been as good as the trucks. The 23 car is a 9th-14th place car most weeks. They don’t have the same raw speed to compete with the likes of the 20, 00, 2, 98, 22 and so on.

JHN has run circles around Gallagher in that car. But he’s also still young and prone to overdriving and tearing up cars. That certainly hasn’t helped a team with limited funds and struggling for speed.

Top 15 qualifying @ Martinsville

Majeski in a Chevy? I thought he was a Ford development driver unless I missed the memo.

He's looked solid in the Chad Bryant ARCA car so hopefully he gets more top 3 opprutunities again.

I think he is still dizzy from racing the spinning 60 car last year and doesn't know what he is doing. :D Only raced 6 races this year and all of them in ARCA to boot. Pretty slim pickins. Pretty hard to get a good look in the higher series driving the dumpster fire 60 car last year. He best make hay while the sun is shining in that truck.

I missed that Brandon Jones is in the 51 truck this weekend. That could be interesting. Will he wad it up or will he finish well?

Notice the traction compound? Doesn't look like the used hardly any compared to Texas. Looks like it will catch the outside tires in the second groove

Top 10 covered by about a tenth.

Thus should be a good one. Burton and Majeski will fight through the field starting in the back.

Not surprised at all the 44 is quick in qualifying. Just shows that 60 car was junk.

Majeski finished in 11th not bad. Chastain in a Niece truck finished two places ahead. Not impressed with the Niece trucks speed going into the last race, Chastain has his work cut out for him. 2 GMS trucks in the final with Moffitt and Freisen, and Crafton squeaks in for Thorsport.

With the weather a bit iffy for the truck race tonight, what is the contingency plan if they can’t get it in?

Good for Matt. He's an underrated driver barring the circumstances or the system.

I'm a big Matt fan, but even I didn't expect him to take it, but I'm happy he did. 3 time champion is a big number.
