Cup RACE thread --- Homestead

You mean the guy who hadnt finished better than the other 3 contenders for 11 races has 1 good race and wins the championship?

Congrats to Kyle.

He ain’t “my guy” but I’ll say it again, he’s the best of his generation. And if you find yourself talking NASCAR 20 years from now you’ll say you got to see Kyle Busch race.

Gross race. Good for Kyle, good for Rev.

Kyle Busch after 13 years as the sports number 2/3, finally has his time and solidifies himself as a SOLID TOP 10 DRIVER OF ALL TIME.

Wow, did he just compare him to Dale? Kyle Busch was dominated by a better racecar driver for over a decade by an ACTUAL 7 time champion..and was never compared to Dale.

I can probably speak for all Johnson fans, but that is absolutely insulting to Jimmie Johnson's legacy. The fact that a driver who won 80 races and 7 titles in 15 years has received less comparisons to the immortals than a guy who won 2 titles and 56 races in 15 years.

And this is why it is so difficult to enjoy Kyle for what he is. What an insult.

So a Ford wins the Truck title, a Chevy wins the Xfinity title, and a Toyota wins the Cup title.

It's awesome to finally see another multiple time champ. But Johnson was a 4 year vet when Kyle was a rookie and won 69 races and 7 titles against Kyle.

Kyle is NOT the best of his generation. He's the best of today, and I'm happy for the guy.

So you think JJ is a better driver than Dale Sr? That’s interesting

Kyle just needs to win himself a Daytona 500 and he will have left his mark.

I think Busch surpassed Johnson with this moment. Congrats Kyle, you have an argument as the GOAT

Jimmie who? :idunno:

Had the deck stacked in my favor in all 3 Championships and got 1. Oh well, OU came back from 25 down to win so there’s that.

There’s internet rumors of issues in his personal life. No idea if there’s any credibility to that.

He sure does seem off though.
I did just see a tweet that kinda gave away what it (allegedly) was...not that it's any of my business, but yeah I could see why now.

That’s so cool he’s taking his son for a ride, little Busch will remember that for the rest of his life.
